El ministro de Relaciones Exteriores reiteró la permanente disposición del Perú de fortalecer y profundizar la agenda bilateral, la coordinación y la cooperación entre ambos países.
Como se sabe el jefe de la diplomacia peruana Javier González-Olaechea Franco arribó al país centroamericano para asistir, como jefe de la delegación peruana, a los actos protocolares de la investidura presidencial del reelegido mandatario Nayib Bukele.
Del mismo modo el canciller sostuvo una reunión bilateral con su homóloga, Alexandra Hill, donde reafirmaron el compromiso por fortalecer la cooperación entre el Perú y El Salvador.
En el encuentro, el titular de Relaciones Exteriores destacó las históricas relaciones entre ambos Estados y expresó el interés peruano por desarrollar todo el potencial de la relación en cuanto al diálogo político, el intercambio comercial, la cooperación técnica-científica y los vínculos culturales.
Durante la cita, el canciller González-Olaechea agradeció a El Salvador por su apoyo a la candidatura del jurista Alberto Borea al cargo de juez de la Corte Interamericana de Derechos Humanos (Corte IDH), para el período 2025-2030.
En este sentido, ambos cancilleres dialogaron sobre diversos aspectos de la agenda bilateral y las oportunidades que las visiones coincidentes ofrecen para una mayor cooperación en foros multilaterales.

During the meeting, Foreign Minister González-Olaechea thanked El Salvador for its support for the candidacy of jurist Alberto Borea for the position of judge of the Inter-American Court of Human Rights (IDH Court), for the period 2025-2030.
