Tras una reunión con el titular de la Confederación Sudamericana de Fútbol (Conmebol), Alejandro Domínguez, y autoridades del deporte nacional, la mandataria afirmó que el Gobierno dará todas las garantías para el éxito de esta cita futbolística.

“Agradecemos la confianza de la Conmebol. Invitamos a todos los peruanos a vivir esta celebración con orgullo, responsabilidad y entusiasmo, y a demostrar una vez más que el Perú está a la altura de los grandes retos”, expresó la jefa de Estado.

“Los esperamos en Lima el 29 de noviembre. Los recibiremos con el cariño que los peruanos solemos dar. Bienvenida la Copa Libertadores”, subrayó.

Por su parte, Alejandro Domínguez explicó que, para la elección de Lima como sede de la final de la Libertadores, pesó el compromiso del Gobierno peruano.

Asimismo, dijo que la final de la fiesta del fútbol de clubes más grande de Sudamérica será transmitida en directo a 195 países, con un potencial de 5000 millones de personas conectadas en simultáneo como audiencia.

“El Perú está a la altura de este desafío, de esta fiesta que vivirá el mundo entero”, agregó.
