Agencia Peruana de Noticias PRENSAPERU.PE https://prensaperu.pe/ Twitter: @prensaperupe El Ministerio de Relaciones Exteriores y la Unión Internacional de Telecomunicaciones (UIT) reforzaron sus relaciones mediante una declaración conjunta suscrita hoy en Ginebra, Suiza, en el marco de la reunión sostenida por el canciller Javier González-Olaechea Franco y la secretaria general de la UIT, Doreen Bogdan-Martin.

Este instrumento crea sinergias entre la Cancillería y este ente internacional en el ámbito digital y su impacto en la política exterior. Asimismo, facilitará la cooperación en materia de transformación digital, principalmente en el ámbito de los servicios que se ofrecen a la ciudadanía.

Durante el encuentro el ministro de Relaciones Exteriores solicitó el apoyo del organismo internacional en tres grandes reformas: la racionalización normativa que permitirá agilizar pasos en la gestión pública; la reforma digital de los procesos que además refuerza la lucha contra la corrupción; y la unificación de la data en ámbitos judiciales y policiales. Destacó que ello permitiría la reducción de brechas digitales y la celeridad en los trámites.

Por su parte la secretaria general de la UIT indicó que el Perú podría participar en la iniciativa GovStack a través del cual el organismo busca ayudar a los gobiernos a digitalizar los servicios públicos.

REUNIÓN CON EL PRESIDENTE DEL FORO ECONÓMICO MUNDIAL
El titular del ministerio de Relaciones Exteriores también se reunió con el presidente y fundador del Foro Económico Mundial (WEF, por sus siglas en inglés), Klaus Schwab, a quien le entregó la invitación de la presidenta Dina Boluarte para que asista a la Cumbre de Líderes de APEC 2024, que se desarrollará en Lima, en noviembre próximo. Ambos remarcaron la importancia de este evento y las reuniones que se desarrollarán en el marco del foro.

El presidente del WEF resaltó que, pese al actual contexto global, las proyecciones económicas son buenas para la región y para el Perú. También abordaron la cooperación que el Foro Económico Mundial brinda a nuestro país en el marco de la iniciativa Alianza Global para la Acción del Plástico.

FORO DE LÍDERES MUNDIALES POR ANIVERSARIO DE UNCTAD
Asimismo, el canciller participó en el Foro de Líderes Mundiales, realizado por el 60° aniversario de ONU Comercio y Desarrollo (UNCTAD). Fue panelista en la sesión de alto nivel, denominada “Nivelarse es difícil: Estrategias de desarrollo en un mundo de crisis en cascada”.

En su exposición el titular de Relaciones Exteriores remarcó la importancia de la cooperación para afrontar los desafíos que plantea la naciente era disruptiva ante la fragilidad de la gobernanza social. En ese sentido, señaló que, para lograr la vinculación del desarrollo, el comercio, la inversión y la transición energética es necesario comprender el curso de los cambios históricos.

El ministro compartió la sesión con el viceprimer ministro y ministro de Obras Públicas y Transporte de Namibia, John Mutorwa; la ministra de Comercio y Pequeña y Mediana Empresa de Gabón, Parfaite Amouyeme Ollame; el ministro de Comercio e Industria de Ruanda, Jean Chrysostome Ngabitsinze; el viceministro de Desarrollo Económico de la Federación Rusa, Vladimir Ilichev; y el secretario ejecutivo de la Comisión Económica para América Latina y el Caribe (CEPAL), José Manuel Salazar-Xirinachs.

Switzerland – Geneva: Chancellery and International Telecommunications Union sign the joint declaration for digital transformation of services.

Peruvian News Agency PRENSAPERU.PE https://prensaperu.pe/ Twitter: @prensaperupe The Ministry of Foreign Affairs and the International Telecommunications Union (ITU) strengthen their relations through a joint declaration signed today in Geneva, Switzerland, within the framework of the meeting held by Foreign Minister Javier González-Olaechea Franco and the Secretary General of the ITU, Doreen Bogdan-Martin.

This instrument creates synergies between the Foreign Ministry and this international entity in the digital field and its impact on foreign policy. Likewise, it will facilitate cooperation on digital transformation, mainly in the field of services offered to citizens.

During the meeting, the Minister of Foreign Affairs requested the support of the international organization in three major reforms: the regulatory rationalization that will allow the steps in public management to be streamlined; the digital reform of processes that also reinforces the fight against corruption; and the unification of data in judicial and police areas. He highlighted that this would allow the reduction of digital gaps and speed up procedures.

For its part, the ITU General Secretariat indicated that Peru could participate in the GovStack initiative through which the organization seeks to help governments digitize public services.

MEETING WITH THE PRESIDENT OF THE WORLD ECONOMIC FORUM
The head of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs also met with the president and founder of the World Economic Forum (WEF), Klaus Schwab, to whom he presented President Dina Boluarte’s invitation to attend the Summit of Leaders of APEC 2024, which will take place in Lima next November. Both highlighted the importance of this event and the meetings that will take place within the framework of the forum.

The president of the WEF highlighted that, despite the current global context, the economic projections are good for the region and for Peru. They also addressed the cooperation that the World Economic Forum provides to our country within the framework of the Global Alliance for Plastic Action initiative.

UNCTAD ANNIVERSARY WORLD LEADERS FORUM
Likewise, the chancellor participated in the World Leaders Forum, held for the 60th anniversary of UN Trade and Development (UNCTAD). He was a panelist at the high-level session, called “Leveling up is difficult: Development strategies in a world of cascading crises.”

In his presentation, the head of Foreign Affairs highlighted the importance of cooperation to face the challenges posed by the nascent disruptive era in the face of the fragility of social governance. In this sense, he pointed out that, to achieve the linkage of development, trade, investment and the energy transition, it is necessary to understand the course of historical changes.

The minister shared the session with the Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Public Works and Transport of Namibia, John Mutorwa; the Minister of Trade and Small and Medium Enterprises of Gabon, Parfaite Amouyeme Ollame; the Minister of Trade and Industry of Rwanda, Jean Chrysostome Ngabitsinze; the Deputy Minister of Economic Development of the Russian Federation, Vladimir Ilichev; and the executive secretary of the Economic Commission for Latin America and the Caribbean (ECLAC), José Manuel Salazar-Xirinachs.
