El evento se llevará a cabo el martes de 2 julio en el Colegio de Ingenieros del Perú, en San Isidro, Lima. Durante la jornada, se presentarán los resultados de las acciones de supervisión del año 2023, un análisis del estado de la legalidad de la madera en 2021, y se destacará la Mochila Forestal como herramienta clave para el fortalecimiento de capacidades en Perú y otros países de la región.

Al respecto, la jefa del OSINFOR, Lucetty Ullilen, comentó sobre la importancia de las supervisiones y la necesidad de informar a la población acerca de las acciones en favor del aprovechamiento sostenible de los bosques: “Las supervisiones que realizamos son fundamentales para asegurar que los recursos forestales y de fauna silvestre sean manejados de manera sostenible y, es nuestro deber rendir cuentas a la sociedad, mostrando los avances y desafíos que enfrentamos en nuestra labor. Es crucial que la ciudadanía esté informada y participe en el uso responsable de los recursos del bosque”.

El evento también contará con la participación de usuarios del bosque, quienes compartirán sus experiencias y testimonios sobre el manejo forestal y la conservación de la fauna silvestre. Además, se realizará una exposición interactiva titulada Las supervisiones y su contribución a la conservación y aprovechamiento sostenible de nuestros bosques, que permitirá a los asistentes conocer de cerca el impacto positivo de las acciones del OSINFOR.
