En ese orden de ideas indicó, que es crucial comprender el origen de esta patraña, que no es casual. El jueves pasado, en una reunión con el ingeniero Nakano, el señor gobernador y gran parte de la asamblea regional de Lambayeque, acordamos no renovar el contrato de Olmos (presa de Limón y base), ni por un mes, ni dos, ni un año, ni más. A partir de septiembre de 2025, el Proyecto Especial Olmos Tinajones del Gobierno Regional de Lambayeque asumirá la operación.

Así mismo esta decisión se tomó el jueves y se comunicó a todos los presentes. Le preguntaré al ingeniero Nakano cómo es posible que haya tenido esa conversación y luego se reuniera conmigo sin mencionármelo. Si se le planteó un acto de corrupción, debió cuestionarme a mí directamente. El señor Yábar menciona una adjudicación directa; ¿por qué? Porque buscan descalificar a quien cuestiona la renovación del contrato a “Obras”, es decir, a mí, añadió.

De otro lado, Pérez-Reyes Espejo, manifestó que estaba absolutamente en contra de renovar el contrato a Novonor, y que el contrato vence en septiembre de 2025, en menos de dos meses. El proyecto que mencionamos “Olmos Tinajones” asumirá la operación de la presa de Limón. Novonor se retira.

Del mismo modo, el Ministro del MEF, recalcó que ellos se van después del 25 de septiembre, y el Gobierno Regional de Lambayeque, a través del Proyecto Especial Olmos Tinajones, asumirá la operación. Es falso que hayamos incluido un proyecto en el decreto suplementario, como afirma Burgos. Solo hemos añadido una norma que permite al Proyecto Especial Olmos Tinajones realizar compras menores, evitando contratar con empresas que, como dijo Yábar, sean corruptas.

Claramente, buscan cuestionar a mi equipo y a mí, quienes tomamos la decisión de no renovar el contrato. Desconozco quién está detrás de esto, pero buscan sacarme del proceso acusándome de corrupción, algo que niego rotundamente. Mi honorabilidad es intachable, como lo saben quiénes me conocen, expresó.

Finalmente sentenció que ha quedado clara su posición, reiterando “ipso facto” denunciará a Saúl Yábar y anunció que Novonor ya no operará el proyecto. El Gobierno Regional de Lambayeque asumirá el proyecto, pero habrá una nueva licitación, fueron las expresiones finales del máximo jefe del Ministerio de Economía y Finanzas.
