Citando el libro de Eclesiastés, el Papa reconoció la “vanidad” de las posesiones terrenales, instando a los jóvenes a trascender el consumismo y buscar un propósito superior.

Esta búsqueda, según el Papa, implica reconocer la fragilidad inherente a la vida humana, una fragilidad que no debe ser vista como un obstáculo, sino como parte integral de la experiencia humana y un camino hacia la regeneración a través del don y el amor.

El Papa León XIV utilizó la metáfora de la naturaleza —la hierba que florece y se seca— para ilustrar el ciclo de vida y la constante regeneración. Este ciclo, argumentó, es paralelo a la experiencia humana, donde la vulnerabilidad y la debilidad son oportunidades para el crecimiento espiritual.

El Pontífice instó a los jóvenes a no temer a la fragilidad, sino a abrazarla como parte de un proceso de renovación constante alimentado por el amor y la fe.

La homilía enfatizó la importancia de la esperanza en Dios, describiéndola como una fuerza que no defraudará, ya que el amor divino ha sido derramado en los corazones de los creyentes.

El Papa citó el Salmo 90 y animó a los jóvenes a aspirar a la santidad, a no conformarse con menos, y a cultivar su fe a través de la oración, la adoración, la comunión eucarística y la caridad. Se mencionaron como ejemplos a los beatos Pier Giorgio Frassati y Carlo Acutis, próximos a ser canonizados.

El encuentro con Cristo Resucitado, según el Papa, es fundamental para transformar la existencia, iluminando los afectos, deseos y pensamientos. El Pontífice instó a los jóvenes a abrir sus corazones a Dios, a escuchar su llamado y a buscar en Él la respuesta a la sed existencial que muchos experimentan.

Finalmente, el Papa encomendó a los jóvenes a la Virgen María, pidiéndoles que lleven el mensaje de esperanza y fe a sus comunidades y al mundo.
