Esta iniciativa se erige como un mecanismo para robustecer la cohesión social y fomentar los lazos de camaradería entre la ciudadanía y las instituciones armadas.

El circuito de 10 kilómetros, cuidadosamente diseñado, enlazó tres puntos de referencia que rinden tributo a los símbolos tutelares de las Fuerzas Armadas: el Parque Almirante Grau, el Óvalo Quiñones y la Plaza Bolognesi. En un gesto de compromiso y respaldo, el Ministro de Defensa, Walter Astudillo Chávez, participó activamente en la jornada, acompañando a los atletas en bicicleta junto a los altos mandos militares.

Durante su intervención, el Ministro Astudillo Chávez destacó la importancia de esta actividad como reflejo de los valores fundamentales de la formación castrense. Si bien reconoció el papel crucial de la tecnología en los ejércitos contemporáneos, enfatizó que la capacidad moral, la inteligencia y los principios éticos son los pilares que impulsan a los individuos a servir a la nación.

Asimismo, resaltó que este evento simboliza la convergencia entre las Fuerzas Armadas y la sociedad civil, recordando que los hombres y mujeres que portan el uniforme lo hacen por convicción, demostrando una disposición inquebrantable para defender la integridad territorial y la seguridad de la patria, incluso a costa de sus propias vidas.

“En vísperas de la conmemoración de un nuevo aniversario de nuestras Fuerzas Armadas, extiendo, en nombre del Gobierno y del Estado peruano, un reconocimiento imperecedero a aquellos que han dedicado y dedican sus vidas a la defensa de nuestra nación”, expresó el Ministro.

Entre los participantes se encontraban representantes del Ejército, la Marina de Guerra, la Fuerza Aérea y la Policía Nacional, así como cadetes del Colegio Militar Leoncio Prado, personal del Ministerio de Defensa, del Comando Conjunto y una destacada delegación del club Perú Runners.

El evento contó con la presencia del Jefe del Comando Conjunto de las Fuerzas Armadas, General de Ejército David Ojeda Parra; los Comandantes Generales del Ejército y de la Marina de Guerra; la Alcaldesa de San Isidro; y el Presidente de Perú Runners, entre otras autoridades.

CONCLUSIONES

1.- La Carrera Cívico-Militar se consolida como un espacio de encuentro entre la sociedad civil y las Fuerzas Armadas, fortaleciendo la confianza mutua y el sentido de pertenencia a la nación.

2.- El evento promueve los valores inherentes a la formación castrense, tales como la disciplina, el compromiso, el honor y el espíritu de servicio, que son fundamentales para la defensa y el desarrollo del país.

3.- La participación activa de autoridades civiles y militares de alto nivel evidencia el respaldo institucional a este tipo de iniciativas, que contribuyen a fortalecer la imagen de las Fuerzas Armadas como instituciones al servicio de la ciudadanía.

Participants included representatives from the Army, Navy, Air Force, and National Police, as well as cadets from the Leoncio Prado Military College, personnel from the Ministry of Defense, the Joint Command, and a prominent delegation from the Perú Runners Club.

The event was attended by the Head of the Joint Command of the Armed Forces, Army General David Ojeda Parra; the Commanding Generals of the Army and Navy; the Mayor of San Isidro; and the President of Perú Runners, among other authorities.
