Asimismo, resaltó la notable recuperación económica del Perú, que ha experimentado 17 meses de crecimiento continuo, superando con éxito un período marcado por la recesión, la violencia política y un intento fallido de golpe de Estado.

“Pese a todos los obstáculos, la verdad se abre paso y nos hace libres. Paz y unidad para el Perú y el mundo. Juntos trabajemos sin odios, procurando el desarrollo. Sí a la vida, no a la violencia y no a la guerra”, aseveró la Presidenta Boluarte, transmitiendo un mensaje de esperanza y determinación.

En su discurso, la mandataria abordó las ideologías de odio, señalando que han sido la causa de los peores crímenes de la humanidad. Recordó que el Perú sufrió durante más de dos décadas los embates del terrorismo, un flagelo que segó la vida de miles de peruanos. En este contexto, denunció los intentos de convertir en victimarios a quienes lucharon contra el terrorismo, como las Fuerzas Armadas y la Policía Nacional, a través de juicios prolongados durante décadas.

Ante la propuesta de reforma impulsada por el Secretario General, António Guterres, la Jefa de Estado advirtió que la inacción en este ámbito podría afectar gravemente a uno de los instrumentos más valiosos de la comunidad internacional. “El mundo no necesita menos ONU, sino más y mejor ONU. Acorde con los tiempos en que las ideologías de odio hacen tanto daño”, enfatizó la mandataria, recordando a Javier Pérez de Cuéllar como un promotor incansable del diálogo y el consenso durante su gestión como Secretario General de las Naciones Unidas.

La Presidenta Boluarte también hizo hincapié en la necesidad de actuar con determinación frente al crimen organizado internacional, el narcotráfico y la minería ilegal, actividades ilícitas que destruyen el medio ambiente y condenan a numerosas comunidades a la esclavitud.

Es importante destacar que la Presidenta Dina Ercilia Boluarte Zegarra fue la quinta autoridad en presentar su discurso ante la Asamblea General de las Naciones Unidas, precedida por los presidentes de Brasil, Estados Unidos, Indonesia y Turquía.

In her speech, the president addressed hateful ideologies, noting that they have been the cause of humanity’s worst crimes. He recalled that Peru suffered the ravages of terrorism for more than two decades, a scourge that claimed the lives of thousands of Peruvians. In this context, he denounced the attempts to turn those who fought against terrorism, such as the Armed Forces and the National Police, into perpetrators through trials that dragged on for decades.

In response to the reform proposal promoted by Secretary-General António Guterres, the Head of State warned that inaction in this area could seriously affect one of the most valuable instruments of the international community. “The world does not need a less UN, but a more and better UN. In keeping with the times when ideologies of hate do so much harm,” the President emphasized, recalling Javier Pérez de Cuéllar as a tireless promoter of dialogue and consensus during his tenure as Secretary-General of the United Nations.

President Boluarte also emphasized the need to act decisively against international organized crime, drug trafficking, and illegal mining, illicit activities that destroy the environment and condemn numerous communities to slavery.
