Este acuerdo tiene como propósito fundamental robustecer las capacidades institucionales, académicas y profesionales de ambas entidades, marcando un hito en la colaboración entre estos organismos.

El acto protocolar contó con la distinguida presencia del Mayor General FAP (r) Arturo Antonio Giles Ferrer, en su calidad de Presidente del FMP, y del Dr. Víctor Hugo Chanduví Cornejo, Presidente del Consejo Directivo de la Academia de la Magistratura. Asistieron también el Contralmirante CJ (r) Crispín Darío Vásquez Rojas, Vocal Supremo de la Sala Suprema Revisora; el Mayor General FAP Fernando Kahn Arce, Vocal Supremo ante la Sala Suprema de Guerra; el General de Brigada Enrique Hilario Chambergo, Presidente de la Sala Suprema de Guerra y Director del CAEJM; y el Coronel FAP (r) Julio Rodríguez Díaz, Secretario General del FMP.

El convenio tiene como objetivo primordial establecer lineamientos y mecanismos de cooperación y coordinación sinérgicos entre ambas instituciones. Esto se realizará con el fin de promover la capacitación continua, la actualización exhaustiva y el perfeccionamiento especializado de los magistrados y operadores que integran el sistema de justicia militar policial. Además, se impulsará la realización de actividades académicas conjuntas, investigaciones colaborativas y la producción de publicaciones especializadas que contribuyan al desarrollo del conocimiento en esta área.

Durante la ceremonia, el Dr. Víctor Hugo Chanduví Cornejo, Presidente del Consejo Directivo de la Academia de la Magistratura, resaltó la trascendencia del trabajo mancomunado entre ambas instituciones. Subrayó que este convenio representa una oportunidad significativa para potenciar la capacitación y actualización de los magistrados, fomentando así una administración de justicia que sea no solo eficiente, sino también ética y profundamente comprometida con los valores democráticos que constituyen el pilar fundamental del Estado de Derecho.

Por su parte, el Mayor General FAP (r) Arturo Antonio Giles Ferrer, Presidente del Fuero Militar Policial, enfatizó el inestimable valor de esta alianza interinstitucional en el fortalecimiento integral de la justicia militar policial. Destacó que la cooperación estratégica con la Academia de la Magistratura permitirá el intercambio de experiencias enriquecedoras, la generación de conocimiento especializado y la reafirmación del compromiso inquebrantable con la excelencia en la prestación del servicio jurisdiccional.

Con la formalización de este convenio, el FMP y la AMAG reafirman de manera inequívoca su compromiso compartido con el fortalecimiento institucional y la promoción de una justicia especializada que sea transparente en su accionar y que se encuentre en plena armonía con los principios constitucionales que rigen el país.
