Perú y Chile son países vecinos que comparten una frontera en común, herencia colonial, gastronomía, cultura y valores democráticos, además de pertenecer a organismos internacionales como la OEA y la Alianza del Pacífico.
GABINETES BINACIONALES
Los gabinetes binacionales son encuentros donde presidentes y ministros de ambos países se reúnen para abordar temas de interés común. Desde 2017 se han realizado cuatro ediciones, en las que se han trabajado en áreas como cooperación económica, energética, cultural y de integración fronteriza. En el IV Gabinete Binacional de 2022 se suscribieron acuerdos sobre incorporación de regiones al comité de integración fronteriza y creación de un consejo bilateral de prospectiva.
ACUERDOS ENTRE AMBAS NACIONES
También se firmaron acuerdos en materia de trabajo, cultura, capacitación y salud animal en pesca y acuicultura. En la primera edición de 2017 se aprobó el reconocimiento recíproco de licencias de conducir y 24 acuerdos más en la Declaración de Lima. La segunda y tercera versiones, en 2018 y 2019, generaron 14 y 160 medidas respectivamente, enfocadas en fortalecer la alianza regional y el desarrollo conjunto. En esta nueva reunión se espera abordar temas como la inseguridad y la migración irregular, buscando soluciones coordinadas para ambos pueblos. Estos encuentros buscan consolidar los lazos bilaterales y promover el progreso mutuo en la región sudamericana.

Peru and Chile are neighboring countries that share a common border, colonial heritage, gastronomy, culture, and democratic values, in addition to belonging to international organizations such as the OAS and the Pacific Alliance.
BINATIONAL CABINETS
Binational cabinets are meetings where presidents and ministers from both countries meet to address issues of common interest. Since 2017, four meetings have been held, focusing on areas such as economic, energy, cultural, and border integration cooperation. At the fourth Binational Cabinet meeting in 2022, agreements were signed regarding the incorporation of regions into the border integration committee and the creation of a bilateral foresight council.
AGREEMENTS BETWEEN BOTH NATIONS
Agreements were also signed regarding labor, culture, training, and animal health in fishing and aquaculture. The first meeting in 2017 resulted in the approval of the reciprocal recognition of driver’s licenses and 24 other agreements in the Lima Declaration. The second and third meetings, in 2018 and 2019, generated 14 and 160 measures respectively, focused on strengthening the regional alliance and joint development. This new meeting is expected to address issues such as insecurity and irregular migration, seeking coordinated solutions for both nations. These meetings aim to consolidate bilateral ties and promote mutual progress in the South American region.
