Durante su participación en la ceremonia de la firma del contrato, la jefa de Estado ratificó su compromiso de encaminar las acciones que garanticen el éxito de este certamen deportivo.
“El contrato firmado hoy, es prueba palpable de ese compromiso que tenemos con Lima 2027 y la garantía de que este evento será un éxito. Con unidad, trabajo y presupuesto, aseguraremos el buen desarrollo de los Panamericanos y Parapanamericanos”, enfatizó la presidenta desde Palacio de Gobierno.
Seguidamente, la mandataria subrayó que el retorno de la inversión del Gobierno en la realización de Lima 2027 es de 3 dólares por cada dólar invertido, por lo que se estiman unos 900 millones de dólares de ingresos para el Perú.
“Los Panamericanos son una plataforma para la difusión de la imagen de Lima y el Perú a nivel internacional, y un impulsor de la economía nacional. Son los juegos deportivos más importantes del continente, a través de los cuales se promueve la disciplina, la fraternidad, el intercambio cultural y la solidaridad entre las naciones participantes”, remarcó.
En otro momento, la jefe de Estado destacó la infraestructura con la que el país cuenta para el desarrollo de las disciplinas deportivas de alta competencia. Mencionó a la Villa Deportiva Nacional (VIDENA), el complejo deportivo Andrés Avelino Cáceres, en Villa María del Triunfo y el Polideportivo Villa El Salvador, el Complejo Panamericano Costa Verde y el Centro de Alto Rendimiento Punta Rocas.
En esa línea, afirmó que el Perú también tendrá la infraestructura urbanística para albergar a los más de 9000 deportistas y paradeportistas que visitarán nuestra ciudad capital.
“Para Lima 2027 se proyecta construir cinco edificios complementarios, con los cuales se tendrá, en total, más de 8900 camas efectivas para los deportistas dentro de las torres de la Villa Panamericana”, aseguró.

A su turno el ministro de Educación, Morgan Quero Gaime, resaltó el liderazgo de la presidenta Dina Boluarte y la buena imagen que tiene el Perú en la organización de eventos a nivel mundial, factores que influyeron para que Lima obtenga la sede de los Juegos Panamericanos y Parapanamericanos del 2027.
El titular del sector coincidió con la jefa de Estado al señalar que la buena imagen del Perú se refleja en que, entre mayo y setiembre de 2024, Lima será sede de cinco campeonatos mundiales: Sub-17 de Levantamiento de Pesas, Sub-17 de Vóley Femenino, Sub-20 de Atletismo, Junior de Natación Artística y Mundial Cadete de Judo.

“For Lima 2027, it is planned to build five complementary buildings, with which there will be, in total, more than 8,900 effective beds for athletes within the towers of the Pan American Village,” he assured.
