El titular de la Federación Peruana de Futbol FPF, Agustín Lozano, dio la bienvenida al nuevo estratega de la selección nacional. “Hoy inicia una era en La Bicolor. Este compromiso es con el país y con esta hinchada mundialmente reconocida deseosa de volver a celebrar triunfos”, mencionó.

Por su parte Juan Carlos Oblitas, director general de fútbol de la FPF, destacó el profesionalismo del entrenador uruguayo. “Sabemos que es un momento complicado, pero reconozco que la sabiduría, experiencia y don de gente de Jorge Fossati nos hará luchar la clasificación. Su llegada nos renueva la fe en La Bicolor”, fueron las palabras del funcionario de la FPF.

Mientras que el nuevo director Técnico de la escuadra nacional, Jorge Fossati respondió las preguntas de los diferentes medios de comunicación que se dieron cita en el Complejo de San Luis. “Yo no prometo resultados, pero sí poner el alma en el trabajo. No hay meta mayor que el aficionado recupere la alegría y si lo conseguimos, seremos los más felices”, mencionó la cabeza de La Bicolor.
