1.- Expresamos nuestro ROTUNDO RECHAZO al atentado a la democracia que se pretende perpetrar desde el Congreso de la República al pretender eliminar los Movimientos Regionales. Los partidos políticos que están enquistados en el congreso liderados por Keiko Fujimori (K) César Acuña (APP), entre otras bancadas aprovechando la posición de poder que hoy ostentan; aprobaron en primera votación la eliminación de los Movimientos Regionales sin realizar el trámite en las respectivas comisiones. Pretenden ir contra la misma Constitución Política del Perú, conscientes que han encontrado un contendor al que ni con todo el poderío económico que manejan le pueden ganar. El pueblo en las urnas les dijo ¡NO! ¡Basta de centralismo! ¡No son más los dueños del Perú! Los pueblos de la costa, sierra y selva se lo hicieron saber en las últimas elecciones regionales y municipales del 2022, donde 7,129 de 12,956 autoridades regionales y municipales electas provienen de Movimientos Regionales, lo que demuestra fuerte y claro el legítimo respaldo del pueblo hacia sus representantes.

2.- Denunciamos este intento de MONOPOLIZAR la participación en procesos electorales de los partidos políticos, pretendiendo dejarle a la población, la posibilidad única de elegir a sus alcaldes y gobernadores, solo provenientes de los partidos políticos, lo que el Pleno del Jurado Nacional de Elecciones lo ha advertido como una irregularidad, a través de un pronunciamiento ante la ciudadanía sostiene que la eliminación de los movimientos regionales supone una afectación injustificada al ejercicio del derecho a la participación política y una abierta vulneración del articulo 2 numeral 17 de la Constitución Política del Perú.

3.- Los partidos políticos reciben financiamiento público amparados en la ley 28094, Ley de Organizaciones Políticas y Reglamento de financiamiento y Supervisión de Fondos Partidarios, Resolución Jefatural N°001669-2021-JN/ONPE. Dinero que sale del bolsillo de todos los peruanos, los Movimientos Regionales NO reciben tal financiamiento, pero si somos auditados y supervisados por ONPE.

4.-Los Movimientos Regionales no somos “flor de un día” como se pretende desinformar, en el Perú existen Movimientos Regionales como Renovación Tumbesina en Tumbes, con su símbolo La Llave, tiene 17 años de trabajo ininterrumpido, sostenible en el tiempo, cumpliendo todo lo que la Ley de Organizaciones Políticas exige; es más los partidos políticos subsisten no solo con nuestros aportes también “se paran sobre nuestros hombros” cuando requieren tener un candidato de fuerza para ganar las elecciones. Las cosas señores congresistas hay que decirlas fuerte y claro, su deber es proteger nuestros derechos, no violentarlos.

Finalmente recalcar, NO vamos a permitirle a un congreso con 5% de aprobación que asesine la democracia, vamos a defenderla como lo hicieron nuestros antecesores. No hacerlo sería una afrenta a quienes en el pasado dieron su vida para que tengamos los derechos que hoy tenemos. Hoy nos toca a nosotros enarbolar la bandera de la defensa de los derechos del pueblo, a elegir libremente a sus autoridades y así lo haremos.

Regional Movement “Tumbesina Renewal” addresses the nation in the face of the attack on democracy by a sector of Congressmen of the Republic.

1.- We express our STRONG REJECTION to the attack on democracy that the Congress of the Republic intends to perpetrate by attempting to eliminate the Regional Movements. The political parties that are entrenched in congress led by Keiko Fujimori (K) César Acuña (APP), among other groups, taking advantage of the position of power they hold today; They approved in the first vote the elimination of the Regional Movements without carrying out the procedure in the respective commissions. They intend to go against the same Political Constitution of Peru, aware that they have found a contender that they cannot beat with all the economic power they wield. The people at the polls told them NO! Enough of centralism! They are no longer the owners of Peru! The people of the coast, mountains and jungle made it known in the last regional and municipal elections of 2022, where 7,129 of 12,956 elected regional and municipal authorities come from Regional Movements, which demonstrates strongly and clearly the legitimate support of the people towards their representatives.

2.- We denounce this attempt to MONOPOLIZE participation in electoral processes by political parties, attempting to leave the population the sole possibility of electing their mayors and governors, only from political parties, which the Plenary Session of the National Jury of Elections has warned it as an irregularity, through a statement to the citizens, it maintains that the elimination of regional movements represents an unjustified impact on the exercise of the right to political participation and an open violation of article 2, paragraph 17 of the Political Constitution of the Peru.

3.- Political parties receive public financing covered by Law 28094, Law of Political Organizations and Regulations for Financing and Supervision of Party Funds, Chief Resolution N°001669-2021-JN/ONPE. Money that comes out of the pockets of all Peruvians, the Regional Movements DO NOT receive such financing, but we are audited and supervised by ONPE.

4.-Regional Movements are not “a flower of a day” as is intended to misinform, in Peru there are Regional Movements such as Renovación Tumbesina in Tumbes, with its symbol La Llave, which has 17 years of uninterrupted work, sustainable over time, fulfilling everything that the Law of Political Organizations requires; What’s more, political parties subsist not only with our contributions, they also “stand on our shoulders” when they need to have a strong candidate to win the elections. Things, congressmen, must be said loud and clear, your duty is to protect our rights, not violate them.

Finally, we are NOT going to allow a congress with 5% approval to murder democracy, we are going to defend it as our predecessors did. Not doing so would be an affront to those who in the past gave their lives so that we have the rights we have today. Today it is our turn to raise the flag of defending the rights of the people, to freely elect their authorities and we will do so.
