Ante los empresarios coreanos, el ministro de Relaciones Exteriores señaló que el Perú es un país seguro para las inversiones y que se espera contar con las iniciativas coreanas, portadoras de alta tecnología y experiencia. Asimismo, sostuvo que, de acuerdo con las últimas proyecciones del Ministerio de Economía y Finanzas, la actividad económica peruana crecería 3,3% en el período 2024-2027 gracias a inversiones en infraestructura, mayor oferta de productos primarios, mejora de la demanda externa y fortalecimiento de la competitividad.

Respecto al hub logístico multimodal, se hizo de conocimiento que comprende la ampliación del aeropuerto internacional Jorge Chávez y de los Muelles Norte y Sur del Puerto del Callao, así como la construcción del megapuerto de Chancay y del futuro Parque Industrial en Ancón (PIA), todos unidos por una red de transporte que serán declarados Zona Económica Especial (ZEE) bajo beneficios tributarios y económicos.

Se precisó que el referido megapuerto de Chancay convertirá al Perú en el primer centro logístico en el Pacífico sudamericano como coordinador de rutas mercantiles y transporte de cargas transfronterizas, reduciendo costos logísticos en un 15% y los trayectos hacia el Asia – Pacífico en 10 días, aproximadamente. En ese marco, se compartió que el Perú representa una oportunidad para los inversionistas al estar integrado al mundo con veintidós tratados de libre comercio junto con el Acuerdo Amplio y Progresista de la Asociación Transpacífico (CPTPP).

Sobre el panorama minero, se destacó que nuestro país es el segundo productor mundial cobre y zinc, así como el segundo país con las mayores reservas de cobre y plata. Sobre el particular, se indicó que el Perú alberga ocho de los diecisiete minerales críticos que serán demandados en las próximas décadas en el trayecto de la transición energética global.

Finalmente, se informó sobre la adjudicación en el 2024 de los siguientes proyectos en infraestructura: Terminal Portuario San Juan de Marcona, Ferrocarril Huancayo Huancavelica, Anillo Vial Periférico, Callao-San Luis, Longitudinal de la Sierra (Tramo 4) y el Terminal Portuario Internacional de Chimbote.
