Agencia Peruana de Noticias PRENSAPERU.PE https://prensaperu.pe/ Twitter: @prensaperupe La Sociedad Nacional de Industrias (SNI) cumple 128 años como gremio promotor de la manufactura nacional, y lo conmemora con la Semana de la Industria 2024, evento que inició el lunes 10 de junio con diversas actividades orientadas a fomentar la innovación y la sostenibilidad industrial, la conexión empresarial, así como el análisis sobre la actual situación de la manufactura peruana, y las oportunidades que la industria presenta para reactivar la economía nacional.

Las actividades conmemorativas finalizan hoy jueves 13 de junio con la ceremonia central por el Día de la Industria, en la que el primer vicepresidente de la SNI, Felipe James Callao, asumirá la Presidencia del gremio y liderará el nuevo Comité Ejecutivo para el periodo 2024-2026. James Callao fue electo por la Asamblea del Consejo Directivo celebrada el pasado 4 de junio, y sucederá en el cargo a Jesús Salazar Nishi, quien encabezó la SNI desde junio del 2022.

El nuevo Comité Ejecutivo que acompañará al presidente electo para el periodo 2024-2026 lo integran: Pola Guanilo Alvarado como primera vicepresidenta, Santiago Román Miu Wong como segundo vicepresidente, Alejandro Daly Arbulú como secretario, Karen Montjoy Huamán como prosecretaria, David Epstein Waisman como tesorero, José Allemant Sayán como protesorero, y Bruno Alecchi Ciamarra, Javier Barrios Teixidor y Alfonso Miranda Eyzaguirre como vocales.

El acto contará con la asistencia de altas autoridades de los Poderes Ejecutivo, Legislativo y Judicial, así como representantes de gremios empresariales, las Fuerzas Armadas, el cuerpo diplomático acreditado en el Perú, la academia, y la sociedad civil.

FELIPE JAMES CALLAO
Felipe James Callao es administrador de empresas por la Universidad del Pacífico, máster en Administración de Empresas por la misma casa de estudios, y cuenta con estudios en Dirección Estratégica por la Defensa y Administración de Crisis. Desde 1990 es gerente general de Almeriz S.A., empresa de textil y confecciones orientadas al mercado exterior.

En su faceta gremial, además de haber ostentado el cargo de primer vicepresidente de la SNI desde junio del 2022, James fue presidente del Comité de Confecciones del gremio desde el 2003 al 2007 y desde 2013 al 2015, así como representante de la institución ante el Consejo Nacional del Senati entre el 2009 y el 2011. Tras su elección como titular del gremio, deja la Presidencia del Comité Textil y Confecciones de la SNI, cargo que asumió desde mayo del 2020.

A lo largo de los años, Felipe James Callao ha desarrollado una destacada labor gremial de promoción de la industria textil y de confecciones con diversas propuestas para la generación de empleo, y en favor de políticas ágiles que promuevan el desarrollo de los diversos sectores industriales.

The commemorative activities end today, Thursday, June 13, with the central ceremony for Industry Day, in which the first vice president of the SNI, Felipe James Callao, will assume the Presidency of the union and lead the new Executive Committee for the period 2024- 2026. James Callao was elected by the Board of Directors Assembly held on June 4, and will succeed Jesús Salazar Nishi, who headed the SNI since June 2022.

FELIPE JAMES CALLAO
Felipe James Callao is a business administrator from the Universidad del Pacífico, a master’s degree in Business Administration from the same university, and has studies in Strategic Management for Defense and Crisis Management. Since 1990 he has been general manager of Almeriz S.A., a textile and clothing company oriented to the foreign market.

In his union role, in addition to having held the position of first vice president of the SNI since June 2022, James was president of the union’s Clothing Committee from 2003 to 2007 and from 2013 to 2015, as well as representative of the institution before the National Council of Senati between 2009 and 2011. After his election as head of the union, he leaves the Presidency of the Textile and Clothing Committee of the SNI, a position he assumed since May 2020.

Over the years, Felipe James Callao has developed outstanding union work to promote the textile and clothing industry with various proposals for job creation, and in favor of agile policies that promote the development of various industrial sectors.
