En el marco de la cita que se desarrolla en la Confederación Suiza, el ministro de Relaciones Exteriores sostuvo una reunión con el secretario de Estado de Paz y Derechos Humanos del país anfitrión, embajador Simon Geissbühler, a fin de evaluar los últimos acontecimientos de la guerra y las perspectivas de este importante y primer esfuerzo para ponerle fin. Por su parte, la autoridad suiza apreció la visión que tiene el Perú del conflicto, así como el ánimo constructivo de hacer propuestas y los lineamientos resolutivos de nuestra delegación.
También el canciller González-Olaechea dialogó con el ministro de Asuntos Exteriores de Croacia, Gordan Grlić-Radman, quien estuvo en Lima en marzo pasado. Junto al presidente de Montenegro, Jakov Milatović, y el primer ministro de Croacia, Andrej Plenković, tuvieron una breve conversación sobre las perspectivas de este esfuerzo por la paz mundial.
Durante el primer día en la cumbre, el titular de Relaciones Exteriores estuvo presente como representante peruano en la sesión plenaria que contó con la asistencia de jefes de Estado, primeros ministros y cancilleres.
Mañana el canciller Javier González-Olaechea expondrá en la sesión temática “Dimensión humana” los aportes del Perú para la solución del conflicto y también estará presente en la sesión plenaria.
