Durante su intervención, el Embajador Denegri subrayó que el Perú ha basado su crecimiento en el libre comercio, la estabilidad democrática, la defensa del derecho internacional, así como en su vocación por el multilateralismo “instrumento de política exterior que ha sido clave para consolidar nuestra presencia activa en el sistema internacional”, precisó.
El nuevo viceministro hizo un llamado a las nuevas generaciones del Servicio Diplomático a ejercer esta vocación con pasión y responsabilidad, destacando que la defensa de los intereses nacionales es el núcleo de la labor diplomática.
En la misma ceremonia, el canciller Schialer reconoció el trabajo del viceministro saliente, embajador Peter Camino, quien asumirá nuevas funciones como Embajador del Perú en Chile, gestión valorada por su “profundo sentido del deber, incansable capacidad de trabajo y un rigor profesional”.
