Durante la ceremonia de clausura de la quinta reunión del Comando Policial Recopol 2025-Lima, celebrada en la sede del Ministerio del Interior (MININTER), el jefe de Estado destacó la importancia de que la PNP demuestre resultados claros y tangibles para recuperar la confianza de la ciudadanía.

“Es fundamental que ustedes sepan que tienen el firme compromiso y el respaldo del Gobierno, pero esa confianza también debe generar resultados en estos espacios. Confianza con resultados. Eso es lo que la población pide”, enfatizó el presidente Jerí ante los altos mandos policiales encargados de diseñar estrategias para enfrentar la criminalidad.

FORTALECIMIENTO DE LA INTELIGENCIA POLICIAL: CLAVE PARA LA OFENSIVA CONTRA EL DELITO

En su discurso, el mandatario subrayó la necesidad de fortalecer las capacidades de inteligencia de la PNP para mantenerse siempre en la ofensiva, anticipando y actuando con información precisa ante las amenazas delictivas.

“Si no anticipamos nada, solo reaccionaremos, y eso no lo queremos ni como Gobierno ni como peruanos. Queremos respuestas contundentes: ante un hecho delictivo, una respuesta contundente; si aparece otro acto criminal, otra respuesta contundente, y así…”, remarcó el presidente Jerí, instando a la PNP a actuar con determinación y eficacia ante cada desafío.

REVERSIÓN DEL DEBILITAMIENTO INSTITUCIONAL: INVERSIÓN Y LOGÍSTICA PARA LA PNP

El presidente Jerí recordó que, al asumir el Gobierno, se encontró con instituciones debilitadas, especialmente la Policía Nacional, afectadas por la falta de inversión, logística y armamento. Esta situación, según el mandatario, generó una ola de criminalidad que no pudo ser contenida a pesar de los esfuerzos realizados.

“Han sido debilitados a nivel de armamento, de logística, de inversión; prácticamente las instituciones se veían en la necesidad de mendigar presupuestos para realizar compras, efectuar mantenimiento y atender otras necesidades. Pero lo que está haciendo este Gobierno es trabajar para revertir este escenario”, aseguró el presidente Jerí.

En este sentido, el Gobierno está implementando medidas para mejorar la capacidad de respuesta de la PNP, invirtiendo en equipamiento, tecnología y capacitación para los agentes del orden. El objetivo es dotar a la institución de las herramientas necesarias para enfrentar con éxito la lucha contra la delincuencia y el crimen organizado, garantizando así la seguridad y la tranquilidad de los ciudadanos.

COMPROMISO CON LA SEGURIDAD CIUDADANA: UN OBJETIVO PRIORITARIO
