En su exposición, el ministro del sector expresó que el convenio marca un importante inicio dentro de la segunda reforma agraria, en el fortalecimiento institucional de los gremios, asociaciones y cooperativas agrarias, con el propósito de coadyuvar a mejorar los ingresos y la calidad de vida de los productores de la Agricultura Familiar.

“Se ha avanzado en la institucionalidad de las organizaciones agrarias que también debe alcanzar a las empresas comunales, por eso, debemos seguir trabajando en estos incentivos para contribuir al fortalecimiento de la institucionalidad de los gremios, cadenas productivas y otras organizaciones”, sostuvo el ministro.

El convenio fue suscrito entre el director ejecutivo de Agroideas, Jorge Sandoval, y el presidente de APPCACAO, Elías Cruz Godos, mediante el cual se brinda cofinanciamiento para fortalecer su institucionalidad, promover el trabajo de sus asociados y el acceso a servicios especializados. El apoyo asciende a S/ 131,000, con aporte de Agroideas de S/ 104,800 y la contraparte de APPCACAO asciende a S/ 26,200.

El principal objetivo del apoyo del sector Agricultura a los pequeños productores, consiste en dotar de incentivo para el fortalecimiento de las formas asociativas de los productores agrarios, para coadyuvar al empoderamiento de las personas jurídicas que representan a los campesinos de la Agricultura Familiar, sean gremios agrarios, federaciones, juntas nacionales u otras formas asociativas.

El convenio tendrá un impacto positivo en impulsar el desarrollo de más de 30,000 familias pertenecientes a 25 cooperativas de 12 regiones del país, como son Tumbes, Piura, Cajamarca, Huánuco, Pasco, Junín, Ayacucho, Cusco Puno, Amazonas, San Martín y Ucayali.

En su discurso, el director ejecutivo de Agroideas, Jorge Sandoval, expresó que el convenio es el compromiso del programa con el fortalecimiento de la institucionalidad de los gremios y organizaciones agrarias y la decisión del sector de acercarse a los pequeños productores del campo para atender sus principales demandas.

A su turno, el presidente de APPCACAO, Elías Cruz, señaló que el presente convenio impulsará el apoyo a más de 30 mil familias de pequeños productores de la cadena del cacao a nivel nacional, y reconoció el trabajo que desarrolla el ministerio y el programa Agroideas en favor de la Agricultura Familiar.

El MIDAGRI, a través de AGROIDEAS, ha aprobado hasta la fecha un total de 98 Planes de Negocio en la cadena productiva de cacao, cuya inversión involucra S/ 36.8 millones por parte del Estado, en beneficio de más de 6,900 productores agropecuarios. Las principales regiones atendidas son: Junín, San Martín, Huánuco, Piura, Amazonas, Ayacucho, Ucayali, Cajamarca, Madre de Dios, Pasco, Tumbes y Loreto.
