Perú impulsará la transformación digital en el sector turismo gracias al apoyo de la CAF, en celebraciones por el “Día Mundial del Turismo”.

El Gobierno suscribió esta tarde junto con la CAF (Banco de Desarrollo de América Latina), un Memorándum de Entendimiento para promover la transformación digital en toda la cadena del turismo del Perú. Este es un importante anunció que se realizó en las celebraciones por el “Día Mundial del Turismo”.

La firma se realizó en Palacio de Gobierno y estuvo a cargo del ministro de Comercio Exterior y Turismo, Roberto Sánchez, y el gerente regional Norte de la CAF, Santiago Rojas.

El titular del Mincetur destacó que esta rúbrica permitirá mejorar la competitividad de todos los actores del sector, impulsando la reactivación económica. “La digitalización y la transformación digital, son una gran oportunidad para hacer sostenible el desarrollo del sector. Hoy damos un paso firme. Este gobierno democrático del presidente Pedro Castillo está comprometido con el turismo nacional, el cual ofrece una gran oportunidad de poner en valor nuestra bio y mega diversidad, gastronomía y artesanía”, añadió.

En ese sentido, comentó que el turismo en el país viene recuperándose y se aspira superar el arribo de un millón y medio de turistas internacionales a fin de año. Agregó que a la fecha se ha podido superar los 900 mil empleos en el sector turístico, lo cual demuestra su resiliencia. “El sector mira también con mucho compromiso y atención la sinergia entre el Ejecutivo y el Legislativo, con la promulgación y aprobación de importantes leyes”, aseveró el ministro Sánchez.

CONVENIO CON LA CAF
El Memorándum de Entendimiento suscrito entre Mincetur y la CAF busca promover la transformación digital del sector turismo, articulando a sus actores y brindando un apoyo fundamental a las regiones, gremios, las mipymes, comunidades, profesionales y artesanos.

Como se sabe, es trascendental para el Perú desarrollar un ecosistema tecnológico para el turismo, que permita diversificar los destinos, ampliar el alcance de la oferta turística, aumentar el flujo de viajeros y obtener información en tiempo real sobre los negocios turísticos. Por ello se implementará una iniciativa innovadora con el apoyo del Banco de Desarrollo de América Latina.

Cabe indicar que la suscripción de la declaración conjunta contó con la presencia del ministro de Relaciones Exteriores, César Landa; el presidente de la Comisión de Comercio Exterior y Turismo del Congreso de la República, Edgar Tello; la presidenta ejecutiva de Promperú, Amora Carbajal; el presidente de CAF, Sergio Díaz-Granados; la secretaria de la Secretaría de Gobierno y Transformación Digital de la PCM, Marushka Chocobar; además de importantes funcionarios.

IMPORTANTE
Durante el evento se hará el anuncio del ofrecimiento de 250 becas totales por parte de Ostelea Tourism Management School (con sede en Barcelona, España), para estudios vía online a nivel de postgrado, para profesionales del sector turismo de Perú. Estas becas serán recibidas por PROMPERÚ y CENFOTUR. A su vez, serán asignadas o distribuidas por ambas entidades según criterios técnicos coordinados entre ambas instituciones.

The Memorandum of Understanding signed between Mincetur and CAF seeks to promote the digital transformation of the tourism sector, articulating its actors and providing essential support to regions, unions, MSMEs, communities, professionals and artisans.

As is known, it is crucial for Peru to develop a technological ecosystem for tourism, which allows diversifying destinations, expanding the scope of the tourist offer, increasing the flow of travelers and obtaining real-time information on tourism businesses. For this reason, an innovative initiative will be implemented with the support of the Development Bank of Latin America.

It should be noted that the signing of the joint declaration was attended by the Minister of Foreign Affairs, César Landa; the president of the Foreign Trade and Tourism Commission of the Congress of the Republic, Edgar Tello; the executive president of Promperú, Amora Carbajal; the president of CAF, Sergio Díaz-Granados; the secretary of the Secretary of Government and Digital Transformation of the PCM, Marushka Chocobar; as well as important officials.
