Agencia Peruana de Noticias PRENSAPERU.PE https://prensaperu.pe/ Twitter: @prensaperupe En la víspera se suscribió el convenio de cooperación inter-institucional entre el ministerio de Relaciones Exteriores, representado por el embajador Carlos Chávez-Taffur Schmidt, presidente del Grupo de Trabajo Presidencia APEC Perú 2024 y el ministerio de Cultura representado por Percy Barranzuela Bombilla, director ejecutivo del Proyecto Especial Bicentenario de la Independencia del Perú.

Este convenio busca establecer relaciones de colaboración entre ambas entidades, articulando esfuerzos en sus agendas con el objetivo de desarrollar las actividades programadas durante el 2024.

“La mutua colaboración para el óptimo desarrollo de las diversas actividades programadas durante la semana de Líderes Económicos de APEC y sus eventos conexos, permitirá fortalecer nuestra imagen país tanto a nivel nacional como internacional”, señaló el embajador Chávez-Taffur.

Por su parte, Percy Barranzuela, director ejecutivo del Proyecto Especial Bicentenario destacó la importancia de que el Perú sea sede de APEC en un año en el que se cumplen 200 años de la consolidación de nuestra independencia.

“Esta es una oportunidad para participar en el desarrollo de eventos culturales y académicos y de convocar a los Voluntarios del Bicentenario para que participen en las diversas actividades programadas en las sedes APEC”, manifestó.

De otro lado, se organizará de manera conjunta el lanzamiento de un concurso digital que impulse la participación ciudadana en marco de APEC Perú 2024 alineado a los ejes temáticos del Bicentenario contemplados en la agenda de Conmemoración del Bicentenario de la Independencia del Perú, resaltando el empoderamiento de la mujer y/o emprendimientos en general.

APEC está conformado por 21 economías: Australia, Brunéi Darussalam, Canadá, Chile, República Popular China, Hong Kong, China, Indonesia, Japón, Corea del Sur, Malasia, México, Nueva Zelanda, Papúa Nueva Guinea, Perú, Filipinas, Rusia, Singapur, Taipéi Chino, Tailandia, Estados Unidos y Vietnam. Este año y por tercera vez, Perú vuelve a ser sede luego de haber sido anfitrión en el 2008 y el 2016.

La pertenencia a APEC le ha traído beneficios económicos importantes al Perú como, por ejemplo, el hecho que su comercio con la región Asia Pacífico creció en más del 10% anual desde que es miembro del Foro.

APEC Peru 2024 and the Special Bicentennial Project sign an inter-institutional agreement that seeks to develop optimal activities scheduled during 2024.

For his part, Percy Barranzuela, executive director of the Special Bicentennial Project, highlighted the importance of Peru hosting APEC in a year that marks 200 years since the consolidation of our independence.

“This is an opportunity to participate in the development of cultural and academic events and to call on the Bicentennial Volunteers to participate in the various activities scheduled at the APEC headquarters,” he stated.

On the other hand, the launch of a digital contest will be jointly organized to promote citizen participation within the framework of APEC Peru 2024 aligned with the thematic axes of the Bicentennial contemplated in the Commemoration agenda of the Bicentennial of the Independence of Peru, highlighting empowerment of women and/or entrepreneurship in general.

APEC is made up of 21 economies: Australia, Brunei Darussalam, Canada, Chile, People’s Republic of China, Hong Kong, China, Indonesia, Japan, South Korea, Malaysia, Mexico, New Zealand, Papua New Guinea, Peru, Philippines, Russia, Singapore, Chinese Taipei, Thailand, the United States and Vietnam. This year and for the third time, Peru returns to host after having hosted in 2008 and 2016.

Membership in APEC has brought important economic benefits to Peru, such as, for example, the fact that its trade with the Asia Pacific region grew by more than 10% annually since it became a member of the Forum.
