En Seúl, el 9 de junio, el ministro de Relaciones Exteriores sostendrá una reunión con su homólogo coreano, Cho Tae-yul, donde se abordará el incremento del comercio bilateral y de las inversiones coreanas en el Perú, así como el fortalecimiento de la cooperación bilateral en materia de gobierno y economía digital, y el desarrollo del Foro de Cooperación Económica Asia – Pacífico (APEC) entre otros temas. Se trata de la primera visita de un canciller peruano a la República de Corea en veinte años.

Asimismo, los ministros suscribirán el “Acuerdo para la Cooperación en Cambio Climático entre la República del Perú y la República de Corea”. Este acuerdo permitirá fortalecer la capacidad de ambos países para reducir y/o eliminar las emisiones antropogénicas de gases de efecto invernadero y adaptarse a los efectos adversos del cambio climático, facilitando la transición hacia economías con bajas emisiones de carbono y resilientes al clima.

Del 10 al 11 de junio, el canciller participará en el “Foro de Cooperación Futura Corea – América Latina y el Caribe”, que impulsará el diálogo y la cooperación entre gobiernos, organizaciones internacionales, sociedad civil y academia. En dicho foro se dialogará sobre iniciativas para la cooperación entre el país asiático y América Latina y el Caribe en temas de interés mutuo, como la seguridad económica, minerales clave, tecnología verde y “start-ups”.

Durante su viaje a Seúl el titular de Relaciones Exteriores presidirá eventos dirigidos a la promoción de la imagen del Perú como un país confiable para la inversión extranjera, a la promoción de la oferta exportable y cultural de nuestro país.

SUIZA
El 13 y 14 de junio, en Ginebra, el canciller González-Olaechea participará en el Foro de Líderes Mundiales por el 60° aniversario de la Conferencia de Naciones Unidas sobre Comercio y Desarrollo (UNCTAD). En ese marco, será panelista en la sesión “Nivelarse es difícil: Estrategias de desarrollo en un mundo de crisis en cascada” y sostendrá reuniones con la secretaria General de la Unión Internacional de Telecomunicaciones (UIT), Doreen Bogdan-Martin y la secretaria general de la UNCTAD, Rebeca Grynspan.

En tanto, del 15 al 16 de junio, en Bürgenstock, cantón de Nidwalden, el ministro participará en la “Cumbre de la Paz sobre Ucrania” que busca proporcionar una plataforma para el diálogo con miras a una paz justa y duradera para Ucrania, basada en el derecho internacional y en la carta de las Naciones Unidas.

La participación del canciller González-Olaechea Franco en este evento permitirá exponer la visión de nuestro país en apoyo al multilateralismo y a la solución pacífica de las controversias, que contribuya a los esfuerzos de la comunidad internacional para una paz integral.
