En el marco de la conmemoración del Día Nacional de los Granos Andinos –se celebra cada 30 de junio–, la gerenta de Agroexportaciones de gremio, Claudia Solano Oré, destacó el buen desempeño de estos superfoods y su importancia en la alimentación ya que ofrecen diversos beneficios para la salud.

En esa línea, enfatizó la necesidad de impulsar acciones estratégicas que fortalezcan esta cadena, permitan identificar nuevos mercados y se brinde información actualizada acerca de la trazabilidad, inocuidad, sanidad, innovación, genética, mercados, competitividad y otros aspectos.

“En el marco de la Expo Perú Los Andes, ADEX organizará el 25 y 26 de julio la IV Convención Internacional de Granos Andinos, en el Centro de Exposiciones y Convenciones de Ayacucho, en donde se abordarán temas como tendencias de mercado, comercialización, regulaciones, inocuidad, innovación, entre otros”, detalló.

MERCADOS
El ranking de envíos de granos andinos peruanos al mundo fue liderado por la quinua (US$ 35 millones 365 mil), presentando un incremento de 43.6% y concentrando el 81%. Le siguieron el maíz gigante (US$ 4 millones 518 mil) y la chía (US$ 1 millón 925 mil). Con montos menores se ubicaron la kiwicha (US$ 946 mil 573), el maíz chulpi (US$ 686 mil 749) y la cañihua (US$ 25 mil 659).

Según cifras del Sistema de Inteligencia Comercial ADEX Data Trade, de un total de 54 mercados, el líder fue EE.UU. con US$ 18 millones 458 mil), mostrando un alza de 66% y una participación del 42%.

Otros fueron España (US$ 3 millones 737 mil), Canadá (US$ 3 millones 176 mil), Italia (US$ 1 millón 486 mil) y Países Bajos (US$ 1 millón 374 mil). Completaron el top ten Reino Unido, Chile, Israel, Japón y China.

Cabe recordar que en el 2023 (enero-diciembre), los envíos de estos productos ascendieron a US$ 125 millones 826 mil, mostrando una variación positiva de 10.7% en relación al 2022 (US$ 113 millones 628 mil).

MERCADO GLOBAL
El Centro de Investigación de Economía y Negocios Globales CIEN-ADEX informó que el mercado mundial de granos y cereales alcanzó los US$ 58 mil 417 millones en el 2023 (-15.9% respecto al año anterior). China fue el principal comprador mundial (US$ 9 mil 133 millones) concentrando el 15.6% del valor total, seguido por México (US$ 5 mil 223 millones) y Japón (US$ 4 mil 966 millones).

DATOS
-Entre enero y abril de este año, el producto exportable más dinámico fue la cañihua con un crecimiento de 1,573%.
