Expoalimentaria, es una de las ferias que se realizan cada año en Lima Perú, y que reúne a los principales operadores claves nacionales e internacionales en busca de oportunidades comerciales. Expoalimentaria ofrece 5 sectores especializados en: Alimentos y bebidas, Envases y embalajes, Maquinaría, equipo y tecnología, Pesca y Servicios.
Esta año 2024 la Expoalimentaria, la feria de alimentos más importante de Latinoamérica, logró expectativas de negocios por US$ 695 millones para los próximos 12 meses, 28% más respecto a la edición del año pasado, informó el presidente de la Asociación de Exportadores (ADEX), Julio Pérez Alván.
“Los resultados nos permiten señalar que se trata de un certamen determinante para el crecimiento de las agroexportaciones peruanas; por ello, invoco a todos a seguir trabajando juntos por el desarrollo de este sector”, puntualizó.
Durante la ceremonia de clausura, que contó con la presencia de la ministra de Comercio Exterior, Úrsula Desilú León Chempén, detalló que se realizaron 2 mil 932 citas de negocios, 12.7% más que en el 2023 y se hicieron presentes 629 empresas, de las cuales 442 eran nacionales y 187 extranjeras.
Han sido –añadió– 3 días exitosos en los que los expositores tuvieron la posibilidad de sostener citas de negocios con más de 2 mil visitantes internacionales, estableciendo contactos para futuras relaciones comerciales.
“Se observó una gran cantidad de productos innovadores, pasillos con miles de visitantes y compradores, rostros de pequeños productores y empresarios con muchas expectativas de seguir identificando más aliados comerciales. Estamos seguros que la Expoalimentaria cubrió las expectativas de todos”, comentó.
El líder gremial destacó la amplia variedad de productos de la canasta agroexportadora peruana, donde trascienden por su volumen las uvas, arándanos, mangos, paltas, capsicum y espárragos, aunque refirió que podrían sumarse otros como los granos andinos, pitahaya, frutos secos y bebidas con valor agregado.
“Nuestra tierra es fecunda, pero debemos avanzar en la agenda pendiente, innovar, investigar la mejora del manejo agronómico, las propiedades nutricionales de nuestros productos, seguir levantando las barreras sanitarias y realizar campañas de promoción en los mercados internacionales”, manifestó.
Luego de calificar como necesario el fortalecimiento de las diversas cadenas productivas y el impulso de la asociatividad para que los pequeños productores reduzcan sus costos logísticos, Pérez Alván anunció que la edición 17 de la feria Expoalimentaria se llevará a cabo nuevamente en el Centro de Exposiciones del Jockey del 24 al 26 de septiembre del 2025.
Por su parte, la ministra de Comercio Exterior y Turismo, Úrsula Desilú León Chempén, indicó que la feria es una muestra palpable de la importancia del trabajo público-privado en su labor de conseguir resultados óptimos en favor del desarrollo económico y social de todas las regiones del país.
“Nos complace ser socios estratégicos de esta iniciativa, la feria es una plataforma clave para posicionar la oferta exportable peruana de alimentos en el mundo. Tenemos 22 acuerdos comerciales vigentes, estamos próximos a la actualización del TLC con China y en negociaciones con Indonesia e India, tenemos que sacarles provecho a todas las oportunidades”, apuntó.
Entre enero y julio las exportaciones peruanas superaron los US$ 40 mil millones y se espera lograr un nuevo récord en el 2024; sin embargo, consideró que, si bien se está en la ruta correcta, aún falta consolidar a la pequeña y mediana empresa en el comercio internacional.
REUNIÓN CON EL PREMIER
En otra parte de su intervención, el presidente de ADEX, Julio Pérez Alván, enfatizó que el sector atraviesa una serie de contingencias como los sobrecostos logísticos, laborales y tributarios, además de los generados por la inseguridad ciudadana y la falta de medidas promotoras. “No solo me refiero a mantener la tasa del drawback en 3%; sino, en el caso de las agroexportaciones, tener una nueva Ley Agraria”, sostuvo
De la misma forma, comentó sobre su reunión del viernes último con el presidente del Consejo de Ministros, Gustavo Adrianzén Olaya y la ministra de Comercio Exterior y Turismo Úrsula Desilú León Chempén, en la que reiteró su preocupación por la posible desaparición del Mincetur.
También se refirió a las acciones que generan esperanza para seguir por la senda desarrollo, como los grandes proyectos de irrigación, la inauguración del Puerto de Chancay y del nuevo aeropuerto Jorge Chávez y la creación de Zonas Económicas Especiales manejadas por el sector privado.

In another part of his speech, the president of ADEX, Julio Pérez Alván, emphasized that the sector is going through a series of contingencies such as logistical, labor and tax cost overruns, in addition to those generated by citizen insecurity and the lack of promotional measures. “I’m not just talking about keeping the drawback rate at 3%; but, in the case of agro-exports, have a new Agrarian Law,” he said.
In the same way, he commented on his meeting last Friday with the president of the Council of Ministers, Gustavo Adrianzén Olaya and the Minister of Foreign Trade and Tourism Úrsula Desilú León Chempén, in which he reiterated his concern about the possible disappearance of Mincetur.
