La iniciativa busca contribuir a alcanzar las proyecciones de más de 1.2 millones de viajes por turismo interno en esas fechas, lo que generará un impacto económico aproximado de US$ 175 millones, y promoverá la reactivación de la economía local y de las comunidades en el país.

Ahí encontrarán más de 40 opciones de viaje con experiencias pensadas para aquellos que deseen realizar visitas de corta o larga estadía. La página cuenta, además, con 560 empresas formales inscritas, entre agencias de turismo y alojamientos en todo el país, que garantizan la seguridad de los viajeros y la calidad del servicio.

VISITA ESTOS SEIS “PUEBLOS CON ENCANTO”
En esta oportunidad, el Mincetur recomienda disfrutar de sus días libres por Navidad y Año Nuevo con una visita a los poblados distinguidos como “Pueblos con Encanto”, que destacan por contar con todas las bondades para el turismo, valor patrimonial y atributos naturales y culturales de carácter auténtico y particular:

Ollantaytambo (Cusco): Ubicado en el rincón noroeste del Valle Sagrado (Cusco) y cerca del Santuario Histórico de Machu Picchu, entre áridas montañas y tierras coloridas, Ollantaytambo reconocido por el Mincetur por ser una “Ciudad Inca Viviente”, no solo porque sus pobladores mantienen los usos y costumbres de antaño, sino también por un circuito de calles empedradas que se mantienen hasta ahora. Es, además, el punto de partida para otros espacios naturales donde se puede practicar el turismo de aventura. Es importante mencionar que es uno de los destinos peruanos reconocido por ONU Turismo como uno de los “Mejores Pueblos Turísticos del Mundo”.

Huancaya (Lima): Situado a más de 3500 m de altitud, Huancaya es el corazón de la Reserva Paisajística Nor Yauyos Cochas reconocida por su impresionante Laguna Huallhua, donde destacan sus cascadas y lagunas de agua color turquesa. Se trata de un pueblo pintoresco, considerado como la capital turística de la provincia de Yauyos, en la región Lima, que cuenta con casas tradicionales y calles empedradas, así como andenes, canales de riego y acueductos construidos en base a piedra y barro. También es conocida por su histórico puente Calicanto.

En Huancaya se puede encontrar una gran variedad de servicios de tours a las cascadas y lagunas de la reserva, así como alojamientos y espacios para desayunar y almorzar. Este poblado es otro de los 13 destinos que fueron reconocidos por la ONU Turismo como “Mejores Pueblos Turísticos del Mundo”.

Villa Rica y Oxapampa (Pasco): El pueblo de Villa Rica, en Pasco, es reconocido por su cultura cafetalera, por poseer uno de los cafés más finos del mundo, y por ser un refugio donde conviven las culturas Yánesha, austroalemana y andina. El pueblo cuenta con varias fincas cafetaleras, además de laboratorios y otros espacios que permiten a los visitantes conocer por qué su producción cafetera es de gran calidad. Fundada por colonos austro-alemanes en 1853, Oxapampa destaca por la arquitectura europea (hecha con madera y con diseño tirolés) de sus viviendas, templos y museos. Entre los lugares más visitados se encuentran la Iglesia Matriz (una de sus joyas arquitectónicas), el mirador del Abra (con hermosas vistas panorámicas) y la Casa Museo Shaeflli (donde el público podrá conocer sobre la historia de los colonos narrada por sus descendientes y sus tradiciones); así como la zona recreativa turística San Alberto del Parque Nacional Yanachaga Chemillén.

Yanque (Arequipa): A 168 kilómetros al noreste de la ciudad de Arequipa, en el corazón del Valle del Colca, y a 3420 metros sobre el nivel del mar, se encuentra el pueblo de Yanque, que es considerado la “capital turística e histórica de la provincia de Caylloma” reconocido por su cultura y tradición donde destaca su danza “Wititi”, reconocida como Patrimonio Cultural Inmaterial de la Humanidad por la UNESCO. Este pueblo preserva, a través de las vestimentas de sus pobladores y costumbres, el legado de la antigua civilización Collagua. También es conocida por sus delicias culinarias como el Convido, el P’esque, el Picante de Olluco y la emblemática chicha yanqueña, preparada con raíces ancestrales. Desde allí se realizan caminatas hacia el Complejo Arqueológico de Uyo Uyo, a maravillas naturales como la Catarata de Cayracucho y los Baños Termales de Chacapi o Puye.

Cascas (La Libertad): Situada a 100 km de la ciudad de Trujillo, en La Libertad, a Cascas se le conoce como la “Capital de la uva”. Este pueblo cuenta con bodegas y parcelas de vid, donde se ofrecen variedades de vino tinto, blanco y rosé. También se pueden encontrar atractivos turísticos particulares que permiten al visitante disfrutar de experiencias de conexión con la naturaleza, como el milenario árbol de las mil raíces, el Cristo de las rocas (un cerro con la figura del rostro de Cristo) y el mirador natural de Chuncazon, desde donde se puede apreciar el pueblo y sus alrededores. En Cascas, además, inician las caminatas y rutas de trekking hacia estos y otros espacios naturales.

Ollantaytambo (Cusco): Located in the northwest corner of the Sacred Valley (Cusco) and near the Historical Sanctuary of Machu Picchu, between arid mountains and colorful lands, Ollantaytambo recognized by Mincetur for being a “Living Inca City”, not only because its inhabitants maintain the uses and customs of yesteryear, but also a circuit of cobbled streets that are maintained to this day.
