En el evento se presentaron dos proyectos para reducir el riesgo de desastres en las regiones de Ica, Piura y Tumbes.

“Desde el Ejecutivo, estamos decididos a mitigar el impacto de las lluvias intensas y el fenómeno de El Niño a través de infraestructura resiliente y sostenible. De esta manera buscamos garantizar la integridad de la población y de sus medios de vida”, subrayó el jefe del gabinete ministerial.

En el evento informativo se presentó la iniciativa para crear el Sistema de Alerta Temprana de ANIN que en Tumbes incluirá estaciones de monitoreo, sensores hidrometeorológicos y un radar meteorológico, además de sirenas y herramientas digitales que permitirán la difusión inmediata de alertas a la población. En tanto, en Piura e Ica el sistema se integrará con radares existentes y contará con centros de control regional para la gestión de alertas en tiempo real.

Además, se mostró el Proyecto Soluciones de Infraestructura Natural en Piura, el cual busca reducir el riesgo de desastres mediante la recuperación de ecosistemas en la cuenca alta del río Piura. Se intervendrán entre 10 mil y 15 mil hectáreas en 23 distritos para impulsar el desarrollo de infraestructuras verdes (reforestación con especies nativas y regeneración de ecosistemas) y marrones (conservación de suelos y construcción de zanjas de infiltración y diques de contención) y gestión del conocimiento (fortalecimiento de capacidades locales y planificación sostenible).

Este proyecto, que cuenta con un presupuesto de 4.7 millones de soles y cuya ejecución tendrá un horizonte de 12 meses, es parte de los planes integrales de la ANIN, que contribuirán a la resiliencia climática y la reducción del impacto de fenómenos como El Niño Costero.

El Roadshow 2025 estuvo liderado por el jefe de la ANIN, Hernán Yaipén, y también contó con la participación del congresista César Revilla y del gobernador regional de Piura, Luis Neyra.

Con estas iniciativas, el Gobierno nacional reafirma su compromiso con la reducción del riesgo de desastres y la adaptación al cambio climático a través de soluciones innovadoras y sostenibles que fortalezcan la seguridad de la población y el desarrollo del país.

At the informational event, the initiative to create the ANIN Early Warning System was presented. In Tumbes, it will include monitoring stations, hydrometeorological sensors, and a weather radar, as well as sirens and digital tools that will allow for immediate dissemination of alerts to the population. Meanwhile, in Piura and Ica, the system will be integrated with existing radars and will have regional control centers for real-time alert management.

Additionally, the Natural Infrastructure Solutions Project in Piura was showcased. This project seeks to reduce disaster risk by restoring ecosystems in the upper Piura River basin. Between 10,000 and 15,000 hectares in 23 districts will be affected to promote the development of green infrastructure (reforestation with native species and ecosystem regeneration) and brown infrastructure (soil conservation and construction of infiltration ditches and containment dams), as well as knowledge management (strengthening local capacities and sustainable planning).

This project, with a budget of 4.7 million soles and a 12-month implementation horizon, is part of ANIN’s comprehensive plans, which will contribute to climate resilience and reduce the impact of phenomena such as Coastal El Niño.

The 2025 Roadshow was led by the head of ANIN, Hernán Yaipén, and also included the participation of Congressman César Revilla and the regional governor of Piura, Luis Neyra.

With these initiatives, the national government reaffirms its commitment to disaster risk reduction and climate change adaptation through innovative and sustainable solutions that strengthen population security and the country’s development.
