La ceremonia de inauguración fue encabezada por el ministro de Educación, Morgan Quero; el presidente de la Asamblea Nacional de Gobiernos Regionales (ANGR) y gobernador regional de Áncash, Koki Noriega, y el gobernador regional de Ica, Jorge Carlos Hurtado.

“Estamos construyendo una nueva etapa de la gobernabilidad democrática del Perú. Este gran esfuerzo no sería posible sin el liderazgo y el esfuerzo firme y decidido de los gobiernos regionales”, manifestó el titular del Ministerio de Educación (Minedu).

En esa línea, el ministro Quero destacó la contribución que realizan las autoridades regionales para apuntalar uno de los objetivos de la actual gestión gubernamental: hacer de la educación el motor del crecimiento nacional.

Por su parte, el presidente de la ANGR resaltó que los gobernadores regionales cuentan con propuestas concretas para lograr el desarrollo de sus respectivas jurisdicciones. “Lo mejor del Perú está en sus regiones. Por eso solicitamos que la intervención en los aeropuertos se ponga en agenda para agilizar inversiones. Nosotros dialogaremos con las empresas para que vuelen esos espacios”, declaró.

En tanto, el gobernador regional de Ica destacó el compromiso del Ejecutivo para fomentar la colaboración intergubernamental. “Este VII CER es una oportunidad invaluable para fortalecer los lazos de cooperación y trabajar juntos para sacar adelante el país. Valoramos enormemente el tiempo que dedican a escuchar de cerca las necesidades, los desafíos y las aspiraciones de la población”, expresó.

MÁS DE UN CENTENAR DE REUNIONES TÉCNICAS
La primera jornada del VII CER contó con la participación de los ministros de Transportes y Comunicaciones, Raúl Pérez Reyes; Vivienda, Construcción y Saneamiento, Durich Whittembury; Desarrollo Agrario y Riego, Ángel Manero; e Interior, Julio Diaz; así como los gobernadores de Amazonas, Arequipa, Apurímac, Callao, Huancavelica, Huánuco, Lambayeque, Loreto, Madre de Dios, Moquegua, Pasco, Piura, Tumbes y Ucayali.

Para esta fecha se ha programado 120 reuniones técnicas entre autoridades regionales y del Ejecutivo con el objetivo de destrabar proyectos priorizados que cierren brechas sociales en diversas regionales del país.

El Consejo de Estado Regional (CER) es una instancia operativa en el marco del Consejo de Coordinación Intergubernamental (CCI), en la cual el gobierno nacional y los gobiernos regionales construyen agendas de desarrollo, como mecanismo de respuesta al destrabe de inversiones prioritarias, implementación de servicios públicos y las posibles modificaciones normativas para los territorios.

The inauguration ceremony was led by the Minister of Education, Morgan Quero; the president of the National Assembly of Regional Governments (ANGR) and regional governor of Ancash, Koki Noriega; and the regional governor of Ica, Jorge Carlos Hurtado.

“We are building a new era of democratic governance in Peru. This great effort would not be possible without the leadership and firm and determined efforts of the regional governments,” stated the head of the Ministry of Education (Minedu).

Along these lines, Minister Quero highlighted the contribution that regional authorities are making to bolster one of the objectives of the current government: making education the engine of national growth.

For his part, the president of the ANGR emphasized that the regional governors have concrete proposals to achieve the development of their respective jurisdictions. “The best of Peru is in your regions. That is why we request that airport intervention be put on the agenda to expedite investments. We will engage with companies to make these spaces available,” he stated.

Meanwhile, the regional governor of Ica highlighted the Executive’s commitment to fostering intergovernmental collaboration. “This VII CER is an invaluable opportunity to strengthen the ties of cooperation and work together to move the country forward. We greatly appreciate the time you dedicate to listening closely to the needs, challenges, and aspirations of the population,” he stated.

MORE THAN A HUNDRED TECHNICAL MEETINGS
The first day of the VII CER included the participation of the Ministers of Transportation and Communications, Raúl Pérez Reyes; Housing, Construction, and Sanitation, Durich Whittembury; Agrarian Development and Irrigation, Ángel Manero; and Interior Minister Julio Diaz; as well as the governors of Amazonas, Arequipa, Apurimac, Callao, Huancavelica, Huanuco, Lambayeque, Loreto, Madre de Dios, Moquegua, Pasco, Piura, Tumbes, and Ucayali.

For this date, 120 technical meetings between regional and executive authorities have been scheduled with the aim of unblocking priority projects that close social gaps in various regions of the country.

The Regional State Council (CER) is an operational body within the framework of the Intergovernmental Coordination Council (ICC), in which the national and regional governments develop development agendas as a response mechanism for unblocking priority investments, implementing public services, and potential regulatory changes for the territories.
