Agencia Peruana de Noticias PRENSAPERU.PE https://prensaperu.pe/ Twitter: @prensaperupe El próximo 21 y 22 de mayo, la Unión Europea en el Perú, IDEA Internacional, Google News Initiative, la Asociación de Periodistas del Perú, el Consejo de Prensa Peruana y el Instituto Prensa y Sociedad (IPYS) llevarán a cabo el VIII Encuentro de Periodismo de Investigación Europa – Latinoamérica, en la ciudad de Lima, Perú.
Este año, el encuentro se centrará en el tema “Desinformación y política”, y contará con la participación de reconocidos periodistas e investigadores de todo el mundo. El objetivo es promover el intercambio de ideas y experiencias sobre los desafíos que enfrenta el periodismo en la actualidad en los temas de desinformación y su relación con la política.
Las palabras de bienvenida estarán a cargo de Jerome Poussielgue, Jefe de Cooperación de la Unión Europea en Perú; Adriana León, directora del área de Libertad de Prensa del IPYS; Jack Lo Lau, director de la carrera de periodismo de la Pontificia Universidad Católica del Perú (PUCP), y Percy Medina, jefe de misión para Perú de IDEA Internacional.
Entre los temas que se abordarán se destacan los retos de la cobertura política en contexto electoral, la investigación de actividades ilícitas y su impacto en la política, el estado de la libertad de expresión en el Perú y América Latina, entre otros.
Además, durante el segundo día del encuentro, se llevarán a cabo una serie de talleres en los que se abordarán temas como Inteligencia Artificial para potenciar el periodismo y nuevos formatos para el periodismo político.
También participarán en el encuentro periodistas destacados como Roberto Deniz de Armando.Info, Venezuela; Alicia Alamillos de El Confidencial, España; Lilia Saúl de OCCRP, México; Pablo Medina del CLIP, Colombia; Francisca Skoknic de Labot, Chile, entre otros.
El VIII Encuentro de Periodismo de Investigación Europa – América Latina promete ser un evento enriquecedor y desafiante para todos los asistentes, se realizará de manera presencial en el Centro Cultural PUCP (Av. Camino Real 1075, San Isidro). El aforo es limitado.

The welcoming remarks will be delivered by Jerome Poussielgue, Head of European Union Cooperation in Peru; Adriana León, Director of the Press Freedom Department at IPYS; Jack Lo Lau, Director of the Journalism Program at the Pontifical Catholic University of Peru (PUCP); and Percy Medina, Head of Mission for Peru at IDEA International.
Among the topics to be addressed are the challenges of political coverage in an electoral context, the investigation of illicit activities and their impact on politics, and the state of freedom of expression in Peru and Latin America, among others.
In addition, on the second day of the meeting, a series of workshops will be held addressing topics such as Artificial Intelligence to enhance journalism and new formats for political journalism.
