Así lo afirmó el presidente del Consejo de Ministros, Eduardo Arana, desde el centro poblado Santa Sofía, en el distrito y provincia de Sullana, en la región Piura, donde participó en la décimo quinta sesión extraordinaria y la décima segunda audiencia pública descentralizada de la Comisión Agraria del Congreso de la República.

“El Gobierno nacional garantiza sus mayores esfuerzos para asegurar que cada sol invertido en irrigación, tecnificación y asistencia llegue a donde más se necesita. De esta forma lograremos convertir a Piura en una tierra pujante y desarrollada, y construir juntos un país más justo, más productivo y con más futuro”, señaló el jefe del Gabinete Ministerial.

La sesión, que facilitó un diálogo directo con la población, fue encabezada por el presidente de la comisión, Eduardo Castillo, y contó con la participación del gobernador regional de Piura, Luis Neyra; el ministro de la Producción, Sergio González; y el viceministro de Desarrollo de Agricultura Familiar e Infraestructura Agraria y Riego, Orlando Chirinos.

También estuvieron el alcalde provincial de Sullana, Marlem Mogollón, y de los distritos de Ignacio Escudero, Manuel Chorres, y Lancones, Jaider Delgado; la congresista Luz Zeta; y representantes de la Contraloría General de la República, el Programa de Desarrollo Productivo Agrario Rural y la Autoridad Nacional del Agua.

En otro momento, el titular de la Presidencia del Consejo de Ministros (PCM) reveló que las iniciativas como Alto Piura y el Afianzamiento del Sistema Poechos han despertado el interés de los gobiernos de Canadá, República de Corea, España, Reino de los Países Bajos, Japón, Portugal, Reino Unido y China.

Respecto al reservorio San Lorenzo, ubicado sobre el lecho del río Chipillico, informó que se ha previsto realizar, por medio de un contrato de Estado a Estado, un diagnóstico técnico que permita evaluar alternativas de almacenamiento complementario para garantizar la sostenibilidad del sistema hidráulico.

“El impulso de estos proyectos es una muestra del firme compromiso del Gobierno con esta parte del país. Trabajamos para ampliar la frontera agrícola, solucionar el déficit hídrico estacional y mejorar la captación de agua de lluvia, a fin de prevenir desbordes”, agregó.

En ese marco, precisó que, a través del Ministerio de Desarrollo Agrario y Riego, se ejecutan obras como el mejoramiento del servicio de agua del sistema de riego del canal Malingas, en el distrito de Tambogrande; la rehabilitación de la bocatoma Pabur, en el distrito de La Matanza; y la reparación de qochas como parte de la infraestructura natural en el distrito de Huancabamba, entre otros.

“Hoy más que nunca necesitamos mirar hacia el campo. El crecimiento del Perú solo será posible si promovemos políticas claras en favor del agro y trabajamos de la mano con las autoridades y los agricultores que cultivan la tierra”, subrayó.

CONVOCARÁN A TITULARES DEL SISTEMA DE JUSTICIA
Con relación a la crisis que atraviesa el Ministerio Público, el titular de la PCM anunció que el ministro de Justicia y Derechos Humanos, Enrique Alcántara, en su calidad de secretario técnico del Consejo para la Reforma del Sistema de Justicia, convocará a todos los titulares de las entidades que integran dicho grupo de trabajo, con el fin de elaborar una propuesta válida, legal y constitucional que permite terminar con la crisis del Ministerio Púbico.

“Esto está afectando la justicia en nuestro país, la credibilidad, la institucionalidad y la democracia. Vemos con estupor que una institución llamada por la Constitución a cumplir con la ley no lo está haciendo. Es una preocupación que no es lejana para la ciudadanía”, declaró el jefe del Gabinete.

Cabe recordar que en el Consejo para la Reforma del Sistema de Justicia participan la presidenta de la república y los titulares del Congreso, el Poder Judicial, el Ministerio Público, el Tribunal Constitucional, la Junta Nacional de Justicia, la Contraloría General de la República y la Defensoría del Pueblo.

INSPECCIÓN DE PROYECTOS CLAVES EN PIURA
El titular de la PCM inició su jornada con una reunión de trabajo con el gobernador regional de Piura y luego visitó e inspeccionó el reservorio Poechos, ubicado en el distrito de Lancones.

Asimismo, tras participar en la sesión de la comisión, el premier Arana llegó al mercado San Jacinto, en el distrito de San Ignacio de Escudero (Sullana), para supervisar los avances del proyecto de mejoramiento del centro de abastos que ejecuta el Ministerio de la Producción, con una inversión de 11.7 millones de soles. La obra permitirá habilitar 95 puestos de venta distribuidos en dos niveles.

De esta manera, el Gobierno avanza en el proceso de descentralización del Perú, a través de obras que garantizan seguridad hídrica, impulsan la agricultura y mejoran la calidad de vida de las familias del norte peruano.

“The national government guarantees its best efforts to ensure that every sol invested in irrigation, modernization, and assistance reaches where it is most needed. In this way, we will transform Piura into a thriving and developed land, and together we will build a more just, more productive, and more promising country,” stated the head of the Cabinet.

The session, which facilitated direct dialogue with the population, was chaired by the commission’s president, Eduardo Castillo, and included the participation of the regional governor of Piura, Luis Neyra; the Minister of Production, Sergio González; and the Vice Minister of Family Farming Development and Agrarian Infrastructure and Irrigation, Orlando Chirinos.

Also present were the provincial mayor of Sullana, Marlem Mogollón, and the mayor of the districts of Ignacio Escudero, Manuel Chorres, and Lancones, Jaider Delgado; Congresswoman Luz Zeta; and representatives from the Comptroller General’s Office, the Rural Agrarian Productive Development Program, and the National Water Authority.

At another point, the head of the Presidency of the Council of Ministers (PCM) revealed that initiatives such as Alto Piura and the Strengthening of the Poechos System have sparked the interest of the governments of Canada, the Republic of Korea, Spain, the Kingdom of the Netherlands, Japan, Portugal, the United Kingdom, and China.

Regarding the San Lorenzo reservoir, located on the Chipillico Riverbed, he reported that a technical assessment is planned, through a state-to-state contract, to evaluate complementary storage alternatives to ensure the sustainability of the hydraulic system.

“The promotion of these projects is a sign of the government’s firm commitment to this part of the country. We are working to expand the agricultural frontier, address the seasonal water shortage, and improve rainwater harvesting to prevent flooding,” he added.

Within this framework, he specified that, through the Ministry of Agrarian Development and Irrigation, projects are being carried out such as the improvement of the water service for the Malingas Canal irrigation system in the Tambogrande district; the rehabilitation of the Pabur intake in the La Matanza district; and the repair of qochas as part of the natural infrastructure in the Huancabamba district, among others.

“Today more than ever, we need to look to the countryside. Peru’s growth will only be possible if we promote clear policies in favor of agriculture and work hand in hand with the authorities and the farmers who cultivate the land,” he emphasized.

HEADS OF THE JUSTICE SYSTEM WILL BE CONVENED
Regarding the crisis facing the Public Ministry, the head of the PCM announced that the Minister of Justice and Human Rights, Enrique Alcántara, in his capacity as technical secretary of the Council for the Reform of the Justice System, will convene all the heads of the entities that make up the working group to develop a valid, legal, and constitutional proposal to end the crisis in the Public Ministry.

“This is affecting justice in our country, its credibility, institutionality, and democracy. We are astonished that an institution called by the Constitution to comply with the law is not doing so. This is a concern that is not far from the citizenry,” declared the Chief of Staff.

It’s worth remembering that the Council for Justice System Reform includes the President of the Republic and the heads of Congress, the Judiciary, the Public Prosecutor’s Office, the Constitutional Court, the National Justice Board, the Comptroller General’s Office, and the Ombudsman’s Office.

INSPECTION OF KEY PROJECTS IN PIURA
The head of the PCM began his day with a working meeting with the regional governor of Piura and then visited and inspected the Poechos reservoir, located in the district of Lancones.

Likewise, after participating in the commission’s session, Prime Minister Arana visited the San Jacinto market, in the district of San Ignacio de Escudero (Sullana), to oversee the progress of the supply center improvement project being carried out by the Ministry of Production, with an investment of 11.7 million soles. The project will allow for the installation of 95 sales stands spread over two levels.

In this way, the Government is advancing Peru’s decentralization process through projects that guarantee water security, boost agriculture, and improve the quality of life for families in northern Peru.
