Agencia Peruana de Noticias PRENSAPERU.PE https://www.prensaperu.pe Twitter: @prensaperupe En una ceremonia solemne realizada este mediodía en el Gran Teatro Nacional, ubicado en el distrito de San Borja, el Jurado Nacional de Elecciones (JNE) hizo entrega oficial de las credenciales que acreditan a Keiko Sofía Fujimori Higuchi como Presidenta Electa de la República, para ejercer el mandato constitucional durante el periodo 2026-2031.

Recibieron también sus respectivas credenciales Luis Galarreta Velarde, como Primer Vicepresidente de la República, y Miguel Torres Morales, como Segundo Vicepresidente. Los tres integran la fórmula presidencial de la organización política Fuerza Popular, reconocida como ganadora del proceso electoral general de 2026.

Durante el acto, el presidente del JNE, Roberto Burneo Bermejo, destacó que esta renovación de la máxima autoridad del país se ha producido en estricto cumplimiento de la Constitución Política, mediante el voto libre, secreto y voluntario de los ciudadanos tanto dentro como fuera del territorio nacional, en el marco irrestricto del Estado de derecho. Aseguró que este hecho constituye una de las mayores fortalezas de la democracia peruana.

“El JNE no entrega el poder. El poder ya fue conferido por el pueblo en las urnas. Lo que hoy hacemos es reconocerlo jurídicamente, proteger su legitimidad y garantizar que esa voluntad soberana se traduzca en una transición democrática, pacífica y plenamente conforme al Estado de derecho”, enfatizó la máxima autoridad electoral.

Burneo Bermejo expresó además su deseo de que la confianza depositada por millones de peruanos y peruanas en las urnas sea honrada con integridad, responsabilidad y una auténtica vocación de servicio a la colectividad.

“En nombre del JNE, entrego estas credenciales con la convicción de haber cumplido el mandato constitucional que nos ha sido confiado y con la certeza de que la democracia peruana vuelve a demostrar que posee instituciones capaces de garantizar que la voluntad popular encuentre siempre cauces jurídicos, pacíficos y legítimos”, manifestó.

Por su parte, la presidenta electa, tras recibir su credencial, pronunció un discurso donde expresó su agradecimiento al pueblo peruano y expuso de manera resumida los principales ejes y compromisos que guiarán su gestión durante los próximos cinco años.

A la ceremonia asistieron el Presidente Constitucional de la República, José María Balcázar, representantes de los demás poderes del Estado, organismos constitucionales autónomos, el pleno de miembros y funcionarios del JNE, así como los parlamentarios electos que integrarán el próximo Congreso de la República.

Finalmente, el Jurado Nacional de Elecciones expresó su especial reconocimiento a las instituciones y personas que hicieron posible la realización de este acto de manera gratuita: el Ministerio de Cultura y el Gran Teatro Nacional; el Coro Nacional de Niños, la Orquesta Sinfónica Nacional, la mezzosoprano Josefina Brivio y el tenor D’angelo Díaz por sus presentaciones artísticas; así como a la empresa Integratel por su apoyo logístico.

JNE Presents Credentials to Keiko Fujimori and Vice Presidents! “Power Comes From the People: The Solemn Ceremony Ratifying the New Presidential Authorities and the Legal Recognition of the Popular Will”

Luis Galarreta Velarde also received his respective credential as First Vice President of the Republic, and Miguel Torres Morales as Second Vice President. All three are members of the presidential ticket of the political organization Fuerza Popular, recognized as the winner of the 2026 general electoral process.

During the event, the President of the JNE, Roberto Burneo Bermejo, highlighted that this renewal of the country’s highest authority has taken place in strict compliance with the Political Constitution, through the free, secret and voluntary vote of citizens both within and outside the national territory, within the unrestricted framework of the rule of law. He stated that this fact constitutes one of the greatest strengths of Peruvian democracy.

“The JNE does not grant power. Power was already conferred by the people at the polls. What we do today is to recognise it legally, protect its legitimacy and guarantee that this sovereign will translates into a democratic, peaceful transition fully in accordance with the rule of law,” the top electoral authority emphasised.

Burneo Bermejo further expressed his wish that the trust placed by millions of Peruvian men and women at the polls be honoured with integrity, responsibility and a genuine vocation to serve the community.

“On behalf of the JNE, I present these credentials in the conviction that we have fulfilled the constitutional mandate entrusted to us, and in the certainty that Peruvian democracy once again demonstrates it has institutions capable of ensuring that the popular will always finds legal, peaceful and legitimate channels,” he stated.

For her part, the President-Elect, after receiving her credential, delivered an address in which she expressed her gratitude to the Peruvian people and outlined the main pillars and commitments that will guide her administration over the next five years.

The ceremony was attended by the Constitutional President of the Republic, José María Balcázar, representatives of the other branches of State, autonomous constitutional bodies, the full membership and officials of the JNE, as well as the elected parliamentarians who will make up the next Congress of the Republic.

Finally, the National Jury of Elections expressed its special recognition to the institutions and individuals who made it possible to hold this event free of charge: the Ministry of Culture and the Gran Teatro Nacional; the National Children’s Choir, the National Symphony Orchestra, mezzo-soprano Josefina Brivio and tenor D’angelo Díaz for their artistic performances; as well as the company Integratel for its logistical support.
