La ceremonia se realizó pasado el mediodía y contó con la asistencia de los presidentes de Argentina, Alberto Fernández; de Bolivia, Luis Arce; y de Chile, Sebastián Piñera; así como del ministro de Relaciones Exteriores de Venezuela, Jorge Arreaza; y del exmandatario boliviano, Evo Morales.

También estuvieron presentes el gobernador regional de Ayacucho, Carlos Rúa; y el alcalde provincial de Huamanga, Yuri Gutiérrez; así como la primera dama de la Nación, Lilia Paredes; y la primera vicepresidenta de la República, Dina Boluarte.

El acto protocolar se inició con la entonación del Himno Nacional en quechua, tras lo cual hicieron uso de la palabra el burgomaestre provincial y el gobernador regional.

Asimismo, el presidente Castillo recibió un varayoc como símbolo de poder en equilibrio de los Wari y los Chancas y un poncho típico de la zona, de parte del alcalde Gutiérrez, quien estuvo acompañado por una niña ayacuchana.

Desde la plataforma del Bicentenario instalada en el lugar, el jefe del Estado, quien portaba la banda presidencial, realizó la juramentación simbólica.

“Yo, José Pedro Castillo Terrones, juro por Dios y por la patria desempeñar fielmente el cargo de presidente constitucional de la República del Perú, por encargo del pueblo peruano, por un país sin corrupción, por todos los pueblos del Perú y por una nueva Constitución”, pronunció.

Luego, durante su discurso, el mandatario destacó que en Ayacucho se consolidó la independencia del Perú y de América y que en este día “el Perú del Bicentenario rinde homenaje a esos héroes de la libertad americana y declara su voluntad porque el sueño de Bolívar, de San Martín y de los próceres perviva en el hoy, en el mañana”.

Anotó que “también estamos aquí para renovar la promesa de hermandad, unidad, paz y desarrollo, germinada con la sangre de nuestros ancestros en el bendito suelo de la patria”.

LUCHAR JUNTOS
“Somos herederos de una historia milenaria y también somos el país de todas las razas y sangres. Frente a la memoria de los siglos y al recuerdo de la sangre americana que entregaron los héroes de la libertad, convoco a mi pueblo a luchar juntos, unidos como nación, para que no haya más sueños postergados, para que seamos integrados como dignos herederos de quienes lucharon aquí y ofrendaron su vida por el sueño americano de justicia y libertad”, enfatizó.

Al resaltar que “somos un gran país”, el jefe del Estado recalcó que lo “seremos aún más si nos escuchamos, si somos capaces de dialogar y construir juntos el camino de paz y prosperidad por donde irán los pasos de nuestros hijos y los hijos de nuestros hijos”.

“En este día, convocamos a todos los peruanos y peruanas de buena voluntad, demos la batalla por nuestro país, renovemos en este suelo, donde miles murieron por la libertad de un continente, la promesa de un país más justo, más digno y más humano. Rompamos juntos las cadenas de la pobreza y del subdesarrollo, construyamos ese futuro mejor que merece cada peruano por el hecho de nacer en este bendito suelo”, subrayó.

Asimismo, manifestó que se vienen tiempos nuevos y mejores si, cada día, estamos más unidos y que solo depende de nosotros el construir la realidad de ese sueño para los peruanos de hoy y del mañana.

En otro momento, adelantó que la próxima semana estará con los gobernadores regionales del país, para agendar, de una vez por todas, “lo que tenemos que trabajar por el Perú”.

“Y (para) la semana siguiente convoco a todos los alcaldes del pueblo peruano, para ponernos al frente, sacarnos los zapatos y trabajar por el país”, agregó.

Señaló que “desde este suelo peruano convoco a todos los hombres y mujeres de la patria, para que estemos vigilantes y ver que los alcaldes, los gobernadores, los ministros y los congresistas se pongan a trabajar por el Perú”.

El jefe del Estado también advirtió que será el primero en sancionar a la autoridad que se robe un centavo del pueblo.

GRAN UNIDAD
“Lucharé, además, para que el clamor del pueblo, como el gas de Camisea, sea para los peruanos; para que los servicios de la luz tengan que rebajarse y estén al servicio del pueblo”, recalcó para sostener que todos los pueblos del Perú “tendrán todo el espacio necesario en este desarrollo que nos embarga este desafío” y que “no es necesario ir a Lima, pues yo conozco el Perú y estoy obligado a bajar a todos los rincones del país”.

“Hoy ya no es tiempo de mirar al Perú con indiferencia, pues ha llegado el momento de la gran unidad. Ya no hay vencidos ni vencedores. Hoy el Perú necesita que sus hijos trabajemos con la más amplia unidad y lealtad”, afirmó el presidente Castillo, quien finalizó su intervención con un sonoro ¡Viva Ayacucho¡, ¡viva el pueblo peruano!

En la Pampa de la Quinua, ubicada en el distrito de Quinua, a 3,275 metros sobre el nivel del mar y a 37 kilómetros al noroeste de la ciudad de Huamanga, se realizó la Batalla de Ayacucho el 9 de diciembre de 1824, que selló la independencia del Perú y de América del Sur del dominio español.

Toldos de colores rojo y blanco fueron instalados en los alrededores del emblemático e imponente obelisco de 44 metros de altura, levantado en honor a los Vencedores de Ayacucho, a cuyos lados flameaban las banderas de países de la región.

“And (for) the following week I summon all the mayors of the Peruvian people, to take the lead, take off our shoes and work for the country,” he added.

He pointed out that “from this Peruvian soil I summon all the men and women of the country, so that we are vigilant and see that mayors, governors, ministers and congressmen get to work for Peru.”

The head of state also warned that he will be the first to sanction the authority that steals a penny from the people.
