Ricardo Gareca, formuló estas afirmaciones en el marco de la convocatoria de 24 futbolistas para la próxima fecha triple de Clasificatorias Sudamericanas al Mundial de Qatar 2022, donde confirmó el retorno de Paolo Guerrero, Luis Advíncula, Edison Flores, Gabriel Costa y Raúl Ruidíaz, como corolario de esta convocatoria del seleccionado nacional peruano.
