Contando con la participación del viceministro de Políticas y Supervisión del Desarrollo Agrario del MIDAGRI, Juan Altamirano, se firmó el convenio entre el director ejecutivo de Agroideas, Jorge Sandoval, y el presidente de la JNC, Tomás Córdova Marchena.
Mediante este Plan de Trabajo, se brindará cofinanciamiento a este gremio nacional para fortalecer sus capacidades negociadoras y de influencia nacional e internacional, promocionar el desarrollo territorial cafetalero, apoyar la competitividad productiva y empresarial de las organizaciones cafetaleras, y desarrollar las capacidades internas de la institución y sus socios. El cofinanciamiento involucra una inversión de S/ 131,000 soles, de los cuales Agroideas aportará S/ 104 800 y la contrapartida del gremio será de S/ 26 200, beneficiando el trabajo de más de 38 mil familias cafetaleras de 9 regiones del país.
En su discurso, el viceministro de Políticas y Supervisión del Desarrollo Agrario, Juan Altamirano, expresó que el presente convenio impulsará a los pequeños de productores y recalcó la importancia de la agricultura como actividad económica del país, siendo uno de los ejes centrales del desarrollo junto a salud, educación y apoyo de la infraestructura.
El MIDAGRI, a través de AGROIDEAS, ha aprobado hasta la fecha 376 Planes de Negocio en la cadena productiva de café, con una inversión superior a los S/ 147 millones por parte del Estado para potenciar a los productores de las principales regiones como Cajamarca, Junín, San Martín, Amazonas, Cusco, Huánuco, Pasco, Piura y Ucayali.
