En la actividad denominada “Primer encuentro de pacientes con artritis en Perú”, se brindó información y se concientizó sobre la importancia de la atención temprana y tratamiento oportuno para mejorar la calidad de vida de las personas que la padecen.

Cabe precisar que actualmente existen más de 200 tipos de estas enfermedades, que incluyen artritis reumatoide, espondiloartritis, osteoartritis, gota, lupus, fibromialgia, osteoporosis, tendinitis, entre otras.

A través de pancartas que incluían mensajes “Nuestro dolor es invisible, pero sí existe”, “No minimices lo que vivo y siento”, “Siempre será más que mi enfermedad”, “La artritis no es motivo de exclusión laborar”, diversos pacientes dieron a conocer sus testimonios y experiencias con artritis, en el encuentro organizado por las comunidades de pacientes “Artritis al Día” y “Detrás de mi sonrisa”, en el parque María Reiche, en Miraflores.

Es importante mencionar que, las enfermedades reumáticas son males crónicos y discapacitantes, no distinguen edad, se caracterizan por presentar inflamación articular, rigidez, dolor constante, falta de movilidad y fatiga, pudiendo afectar a otros órganos o sistemas, lo que puede repercutir negativamente en la calidad de vida de las personas que las padecen.

It is important to mention that rheumatic diseases are chronic and disabling diseases, they do not distinguish age, they are characterized by joint inflammation, stiffness, constant pain, lack of mobility and fatigue, and can affect other organs or systems, which can negatively affect the quality of life of the people who suffer them.
