El jefe de la Unidad de Inteligencia y Análisis de Datos (UIAD) de EsSalud, Dante Cersso, indicó que el número de infectados por SARS-CoV-2 pasó de 6870 (SE 45) a 8802 (SE 46), y que esto se debería a un mayor número de pruebas realizadas para la detección de esta enfermedad y al incumplimiento de las medidas de bioseguridad por parte de los afectados.

Precisó que, en la capital, el aumento se observa en los distritos de Lima Norte, encabezando la lista de contagios Comas, que, de 90 casos, pasó a 272 casos en una semana (aumento de 202%), seguido de Carabayllo, de 44 a 131 (198%), San Martín de Porres, de 133 a 367 (176%) y Puente Piedra, de 50 a 98 (96%).

En cuanto a regiones, detalló que Áncash registra un incremento de 154% (pasó de 155 a 394 casos, en tres semanas), Arequipa 37% (154 a 211 en cuatro semanas), Piura 155% (280 a 714 en seis semanas) y San Martín 38% (46 a 62 casos en tres semanas).

En tanto, en Lima los casos de covid aumentó en 88% (pasó de 2610 a 4913 en dos semanas), mientras que en el Callao el incremento fue de 36% (de 199 a 271 en una semana)

CAMAS UCI
El Jefe de la Unidad de Inteligencia y Análisis de Datos de EsSalud agregó que también se observa un incremento en la ocupación de camas de hospitalización y en UCI por COVID-19 en los diversos nosocomios del Seguro Social a nivel nacional.

“A inicios de este mes había 1606 camas ocupadas en hospitalización, cifra que ahora aumentó a 1808 camas, mientras que el número de pacientes que ocupan una cama UCI pasó de 331 a 358”, apuntó.

Ante estas cifras, el presidente ejecutivo de EsSalud, Mario Carhuapoma Yance, exhortó a toda la población a acudir a los centros de vacunación para recibir la vacuna contra el COVID-19 y no descuidar las medidas de bioseguridad como son uso de mascarillas, distanciamiento social y lavado de manos con frecuencia.
