La Noche de Honra estuvo enaltecida por artistas y deportistas de reconocida trayectoria nacional e internacional como los cantantes Julie Freud; Homero, ganador de la Gaviota de Plata de Viña del Mar; Ramón Avilés, el bolerista de América; además de Pepe Selem, el superhumano más fuerte de Latinoamérica y uno de los más fuertes del mundo.

El parlamentario Padilla en su intervención señaló lo siguiente: “Como congresista y amigo vengo a decirte en esta tarde que cuentas con mi aliento y con mi apoyo para lo que necesites en tu meta de continuar en la senda de los campeones. En esta tarde, a través de un reconocimiento simbólico, de honra hacia tu vida, espero infundirte ese aliento y decirte junto con toda tu bella familia y amigos que hoy se hicieron presentes en este evento, que no estás solo, tanto el creador de la vida y nosotros estamos contigo, campeón. Te estamos observando y entendemos todo tu sacrificio y valor, estamos aquí para aplaudir tus logros y decirte que eres un orgullo del Perú entero”.

Asimismo, dijo que este evento es dar la razón al esfuerzo, a la dedicación y al trabajo de los deportistas, artistas y empresarios que han enaltecido el nombre de nuestro país cruzando las fronteras. “Fueron elegidos 35 deportistas, 30 empresarios y 35 artistas”, indicó.

Los deportistas reconocidos fueron César Landeo Sánchez, Luis Zerpa García, Eddie Orlando Palomino Fernández, Reucher Correa Arroyo, Juan Francisco Oporto, Andrés Enrique Albornoz Tinoco, Hernán Sánchez Sandoval, Aldo Ulises Muños Ygal, Carlos Zambrano, Jorge del Castillo Valladares, Alejandro Enrique Carbajal Collazos, Oscar Víctor Pantigoso Bustamante, Carlos Enrique Felipa Córdova y Walter Javier Pacheco Quispe.
