Los antes mencionados son investigados por la presunta comisión de los delitos de tráfico de influencias, cohecho pasivo, y tráfico de producto forestal maderable en agravio del Estado.

Luego de escuchar a las partes en audiencia durante varias sesiones, dada la complejidad del caso y la cantidad de investigados, la jueza concluyó que el requerimiento fiscal de prisión preventiva, cumple en parte con los requisitos que exige la imposición de esta medida.

Por ello, dispuso el internamiento de los investigados en el establecimiento penitenciario San Francisco de Asís de Tambopata.

De igual modo, la magistrada Angela Cornejo Valderrama impuso arresto domiciliario al investigado Deuso Souza Ríos, y comparecencia con restricciones a los imputados Belquis Roxana Cachique Rengifo, Fátima Pizango Salazar, Delma Ercilia Domínguez Salcedo y Julio Cesar Blanco Rocca.

Durante la audiencia, el fiscal Dionisio Quicaño atribuyó a Hidalgo Okimura desde el Gobierno Regional, haber facilitado a los investigados a través de conductas omisivas y comisivas, el tráfico ilegal de productos forestales maderables, como la no fiscalización de las empresas para favorecer a un conglomerado chino.

Según el Ministerio Público, el empresario peruano Christian Stapelfeld y el ciudadano chino Ji Wu Xiaodong habrían otorgado guías de transporte forestal a los vehículos que trasladaban la madera ilegal en el territorio de Madre de Dios, es decir, legalizaban con estos documentos mercancía obtenida de manera irregular de los bosques de la región amazónica.

A cambio, las empresas de ambos investigados no eran fiscalizadas por las autoridades regionales y recibían facilidades para conseguir más concesiones.

La imputación fiscal señala que Ji Wu Xiaodong y Christian Stapelfeld habrían sobornado a los funcionarios del Gobierno Regional para obtener beneficios, gestionando incluso la entrega de becas de estudio en China para los hijos de autoridades y, en el año 2019, habrían pagado el pasaje aéreo de Hidalgo Okimura para que asista a la 11° Exposición de Inversión y Comercio del Centro de China, realizada en el país oriental.
