“Hago una segunda invocación, muy respetuosa, al Congreso de la República, para que trate rápidamente este tema (…) que atienda esta petición lo antes posible para poder establecer paz política en nuestro país”, refirió el jefe del Gabinete Ministerial en conferencia de prensa junto a los ministros de Economía y Finanzas, Óscar Graham; de Defensa, José Luis Gavidia; de Desarrollo e Inclusión Social, Dina Boluarte; de Justicia y Derechos Humanos, Félix Chero; de Trabajo y Promoción del Empleo, Betssy Chávez; de Cultura, Alejandro Salas; de Educación, Rosendo Serna; y de la Mujer y Poblaciones Vulnerables, Diana Miloslavich.

Asimismo, negó tajantemente que haya renunciado al cargo y aseguró que el Gabinete Ministerial que lidera está “sólido” y trabaja por hallar solución a las demandas de los peruanos, sobre todo las de los más desprotegidos.

“No he presentado mi renuncia. Este Gabinete está muy sólido, estoy muy contento con este equipo que viene trabajando por el bien del país”, dijo durante la conferencia de prensa que ofreció tras liderar una nueva sesión del Consejo de Ministros, en Palacio de Gobierno.

Sin embargo, recordó que es facultad del jefe de Estado reestructurar el Gabinete Ministerial cuando lo crea conveniente, pero mientras eso no suceda se seguirá trabajando en materia de salud, agricultura, educación, saneamiento, entre otros.

“En materia de vacunación, por ejemplo, nos hemos colocado en los primeros países del mundo; y en materia de educación, se ha trabajado con muchísimo esfuerzo y se ha logrado restablecer la mayoría de locales escolares”, aseveró tras reiterar que mañana se realizará un Consejo de Ministros descentralizado en Huancayo, salvo las circunstancias no lo permitan.

A su turno, el ministro de Defensa, José Luis Gavidia, detalló la labor que viene haciendo el Gobierno para de poner fin, de manera pacífica, a las protestas que se dan en diversos puntos del país. “Hacemos un llamado a la calma, el diálogo es la única forma de salir adelante”, refirió.

Informó que, durante las movilizaciones de ayer en Lima, hubo alrededor de 30 agentes policiales heridos, quienes son atendidos en el hospital central de la Policía Nacional, y se detuvo a 20 involucrados en los desmanes.

Por su parte, el ministro Óscar Graham hizo hincapié en que las medidas referidas a la exoneración del impuesto selectivo al consumo (ISC) a los combustibles y el impuesto general a las ventas (IGV) a ciertos productos de primera necesidad, son “temporales y coyunturales”.

Dina Boluarte, también vicepresidenta de la República, informó que se aprobó, en coordinación con el MEF, que se generen subvenciones adicionales a los programas Juntos, Contigo y Pensión 65, que permitirán “que los usuarios de estos tres programas puedan aplacar esta alza del costo de vida”.

El ministro de Justicia, Félix Chero, aclaró que no se publicó ayer una norma para derogar la que dispuso la inmovilidad social obligatoria ayer, pues esta habría entrado en vigencia al día siguiente, es decir, hoy, cuando ya la norma anterior había quedado sin efecto.

Finalmente, la titular del Trabajo, Betssy Chávez, saludó que luego de cuatro años el Gobierno de Pedro Castillo haya decidido aprobar el aumento de la Remuneración Mínima Vital (RMV), decisión que va de cuerdo a los criterios de la tasa de crecimiento, la tasa de desempleo y de informalidad.
