En ese contexto, afirmó que este aumento permitirá a las autoridades locales agilizar las obras necesarias para elevar la calidad de vida de los peruanos.

Al liderar la ceremonia de reconocimiento a más de 557 municipalidades ganadoras de la quinta edición 2021 del Premio Nacional “Sello Municipal Incluir para crecer: Gestión local para las personas”, el mandatario sostuvo que el mayor presupuesto permitió que los burgomaestres ejecuten importantes proyectos de inversión.

“Estas transferencias han permitido que los municipios ejecuten más de tres mil millones de soles en proyectos de inversión, principalmente en los sectores transportes, educación, saneamiento, agro y vivienda. Esto demuestra que el Gobierno viene cumpliendo con su objetivo de descentralizar la economía para agilizar las obras que necesita el pueblo”, enfatizó desde Palacio de Gobierno.

Anotó, además, que en la Ley de Presupuesto del sector público para el 2022 se establece un presupuesto inicial de más de 21 mil millones de soles a todas las municipalidades del país, de los cuales a la fecha ya se han girado 11 mil millones de soles.

“Cuando trabajamos articuladamente con las diversas entidades del Estado y de manera coordinada con los diferentes niveles de gobierno, podemos conseguir logros importantes para el país”, aseveró.

Durante la ceremonia, el presidente Castillo adelantó que en la próxima sesión del Consejo Ministros se planteará una apertura mayor de los viceministerios para que realicen un trabajo más articulado con los burgomaestres y gobernadores regionales del país.

En esa línea, el jefe de Estado pidió a los alcaldes continuar trabajando para destrabar los proyectos de servicios básicos, como agua potable y otros. “Día a día nos enfrentamos a problemas heredados por más de doscientos años de vida republicana. Por eso les agradezco el enorme esfuerzo que hacen para lograr los objetivos”, manifestó.
