“Sin agua no hay agricultura y sin agricultura no hay alimentación, esa es nuestra preocupación”, refirió el mandatario al tiempo de señalar que su gobierno trabaja para ser el quinquenio de la agricultura y de la educación.

En ese contexto dijo que con esta obra se garantiza el almacenamiento de agua y la distribución de este recurso, lo que permitirá optimizar la producción de más de 10 mil agricultores y mejorar su calidad de vida.

“Esta obra, con una inversión de más de 180 millones de soles, es una forma de garantizar la seguridad alimentaria de los peruanos y la seguridad hídrica que tanto necesitan los pueblos para tener una mejor productividad”, apuntó.

Sobre su respaldo al agro nacional en estos meses de gestión, el jefe de Estado, sostuvo que se han tomado diversas acciones entre ellas: se declaró en emergencia el agro, se está impulsando la Segunda Reforma Agraria, se están ejecutando obras de infraestructura agraria y se llegará con abono y tecnología en favor de los agricultores de todo el país.

Reiteró también su pedido al Legislativo para atender los 30 proyectos planteados por el Ejecutivo sobre diversos temas como la masificación del gas, la creación del Ministerio de Ciencia y Tecnología, entre otros.

En otro momento, el jefe de Estado dijo que su gobierno tiene como objetivo claro cambiar el país y atender a la población más alejada, a los niños y a los trabajadores, a diferencia de otros sectores que tienen su propia agenda, mientras la agenda del Ejecutivo es atender las necesidades del Perú profundo.

Negó, además, actos de corrupción en su gestión e instó a sus opositores a que demuestren sus acusaciones.

“Jamás me verán meter la mano para robar un centavo a este país, al pueblo. Me quieren hacer ver como corrupto; que me demuestren dónde he metido la mano, a quien le he robado. Hoy se inventan, se buscan a personas para que hablen de cosas que ni saben, se meten con la familia, nos hemos superado con nuestro propio esfuerzo para ser lo que somos”, manifestó.

Tras llamar a “voltearla la página”, el presidente Castillo sostuvo que los problemas vinculados a la minería en la región Apurímac se resolverán en forma democrática mediante el diálogo y se tomarán las medidas correctivas en este aspecto.

Finalmente, invitó al alcalde de Andahuaylas a acompañarlo en su viaje de regreso a Lima para gestionar la atención a las demandas del hospital de esa localidad, y reiteró su invocación a los ministros de Estado para que atiendan en forma directa a las autoridades locales.

Regarding his support for national agriculture in these months of management, the head of state maintained that various actions have been taken, including: agriculture was declared in emergency, the Second Agrarian Reform is being promoted, agrarian infrastructure works are being carried out and it will arrive with fertilizer and technology in favor of farmers throughout the country.

He also reiterated his request to the Legislature to address the 30 projects proposed by the Executive on various issues such as the mass use of gas, the creation of the Ministry of Science and Technology, among others.

At another point, the head of state said that his government’s clear objective is to change the country and attend to the most remote population, children and workers, unlike other sectors that have their own agenda, while the Executive’s agenda is to meet the needs of deep Peru.

He also denied acts of corruption in his management and urged his opponents to prove their accusations.

“You will never see me reach in to steal a penny from this country, from the people. They want to make me look corrupt; Show me where I’ve put my hand, who I’ve stolen from. Today they invent, they look for people to talk about things they don’t even know, they mess with the family, we have overcome ourselves with our own effort to be what we are, “he said.

After calling to “turn the page”, President Castillo maintained that the problems related to mining in the Apurímac region will be resolved democratically through dialogue and corrective measures will be taken in this regard.

Finally, he invited the mayor of Andahuaylas to accompany him on his return trip to Lima to manage the demands of the hospital in that town, and reiterated his appeal to the ministers of State to attend directly to the local authorities.
