“Exhorto a la Policía Nacional a actuar con mano dura contra la delincuencia, a ejecutar más operativos en horas de mayor riesgo para reducir la criminalidad organizada y a restablecer la tranquilidad y el orden en el país”, sostuvo durante la inauguración de la primera Unidad de Flagrancia, en el distrito de El Porvenir, región La Libertad.
“En esta Unidad de Flagrancia trabajarán en un solo local de manera articulada la Policía Nacional, la Fiscalía, la defensa pública y el Poder Judicial para investigar, procesar y sancionar en forma rápida y efectiva los delitos comunes y contrarrestar la inseguridad ciudadana”, subrayó.
Fue enfático al señalar que los peruanos están cansados de ver cómo los delincuentes son detenidos y luego liberados, y de ver que los procesos judiciales duran años, sin que se logre resarcir a las víctimas. Por ello destacó la importancia de las unidades de flagrancia.
En declaraciones a la prensa, el jefe de Estado dijo que “nunca más habrá tregua para los delincuentes y la criminalidad. Vamos a destinar los recursos que se requiere para enfrentar este problema, en bien de la población”, remarcó.
En otro momento, explicó que las personas detenidas cometiendo un delito podrán ser sentenciadas hasta en 72 horas, lo que evitará que salgan libres y sigan actuando con impunidad. “Es un paso fundamental a favor de la justicia y de la seguridad de la población”, afirmó.
Indicó que la primera Unidad de Flagrancia se instaló en Trujillo, una de las ciudades más afectadas por la ola delincuencial, como una señal clara de la firme decisión del Estado, luchar contra la inseguridad ciudadana.
RAZONES POLÍTICAS EN CENSURA A MINISTRO SENMACHE
De otro lado, el presidente Castillo se refirió a la censura aprobada en el Congreso contra el ministro del Interior, Dimitri Senmache, a pocas semanas de haber asumido el cargo.
“Como presidente de la República lamento que en esta decisión haya primado razones políticas antes que el propósito de fiscalizar con objetividad la labor del Ejecutivo. Con esa decisión los que pierden más son los ciudadanos. Esperamos avanzar, en el marco de la unidad, en la lucha contra la delincuencia, estos son los grandes objetivos nacionales que tenemos”, refirió.
Finalmente, lamentó lo sucedido en el distrito de Chavín de Huántar, región Áncash, y expresó su solidaridad con las familias afectadas por el deslizamiento. Hasta el momento no se han reportado heridos ni fallecidos, pero hay más de 60 viviendas afectadas tras el derrumbe de una parte del cerro Cruz de Shallapa.
