“Yo jamás he pedido que se cierre el Congreso, ni lo haré porque soy demócrata y siempre he pregonado que el presidente de la República y los congresistas son elegidos por cinco años y se tiene que cumplir con ese periodo. Tampoco estoy incitando a las personas a que realicen actos de violencia. Hablemos con la verdad”, invocó el titular de la Presidencia del Consejo de Ministros (PCM) ante el Pleno del Congreso, a donde llegó acompañado por el Gabinete Ministerial.

Durante su presentación, Torres Vásquez explicó que el gobierno del presidente Pedro Castillo se diferencia de gestiones anteriores porque ha abierto las puertas a las personas más pobres, porque fueron ellos quienes ganaron las últimas elecciones presidenciales, pero también a los grandes empresarios, a fin de promover el crecimiento económico con desarrollo social.

“A un pequeño sector le duele que recibamos en Palacio de Gobierno a los más pobres, a los que fueron olvidados durante 200 años de vida republicana. Debo informarles que ellos son los que ganaron las elecciones, son los que eligieron a Pedro Castillo. Pero también nos reunimos con los grandes empresarios para promover el crecimiento económico con desarrollo social, porque tenemos que trabajar con todos los peruanos”, añadió.

“ESTAMOS DISPUESTOS A TRABAJAR CONJUNTAMENTE CON EL CONGRESO”
El jefe del Gabinete Ministerial también invocó a los congresistas de la República a colocar en primer lugar el interés nacional y trabajar de manera conjunta sobre políticas públicas en las que haya coincidencias, con el objetivo de generar estabilidad política en el país.

“Tenemos que actuar con honestidad. Nosotros estamos plenamente dispuestos a trabajar conjuntamente con el Congreso. Actuemos de buena fe y hagamos prevalecer el interés de la patria y comencemos a trabajar juntos políticas públicas sobre las cuales podamos ponernos de acuerdo”, manifestó el titular de la Presidencia del Consejo de Ministros (PCM).

Torres Vásquez recordó que el Ejecutivo presentó al Congreso un proyecto de ley, sobre la base de una decisión del Acuerdo Nacional, para limitar las figuras de la cuestión de confianza y la vacancia presidencial por supuesta incapacidad moral, con el objetivo de fortalecer la estabilidad política del país. “Esos dos elementos son los que han dado lugar a que en cinco años tengamos cinco presidentes y un cierre del Congreso”, enfatizó.

El titular de la PCM también reafirmó el compromiso del Gobierno con promover la economía social de mercado, consagrada en la Constitución. “Propiedad individual, libertad de empresa, pluralidad de partidos políticos, eso es lo que genera seguridad para la inversión en el país. Y aunque se diga lo contrario, eso permitió que en junio el crecimiento económico sea del 3.44%, pese a que el mundo vive una economía de guerra”, añadió.

Finalmente, el presidente del Consejo de Ministros invocó a los gobiernos regionales y locales a ejecutar el presupuesto transferido, a fin de que la población pueda contar con caminos seguros, puentes, escuelas refaccionadas, hospitales, postas, entre otros.
