La entrega de la obra efectuada por la Municipalidad de Monsefú y el apoyo de La Iglesia de Jesucristo de los Santos de los Últimos Días, abastecerá de agua potable a las familias del sector Villa Gonzales en sus domicilios, lo que venían esperando durante años y ya no tendrán que cargar agua como antes.
El Ingeniero Manuel Pisfil, alcalde de Monsefú, acompañado de su consejo de regidores municipales, y con la presencia del padre Santiago Gonzales Gamonal, párroco de Monsefú y del comisario sectorial de Monsefú, Mayor PNP Giancarlo Montenegro Zúñiga, agradeció la ayuda brindada por la Iglesia de Jesucristo que beneficiará a la comunidad en esa parte del distrito. También elogió la labor de la Iglesia con la que está desarrollando el proyecto de dotar de agua potable a los sectores rurales del distrito.
En la reunión el padre Gonzales leyó una cita de la Biblia en el libro de Mateo sobre el principal mandamiento de la ley que es amar a Dios sobre todas las cosas y el segundo que es semejante: “Amaras a tu prójimo como a ti mismo”.
Jesús Llontop Reyes de la Iglesia de Jesucristo, comentó a los presentes que es una bendición tener la oportunidad de ayudar a mejorar la calidad de vida de la comunidad y expresó: “Cuando nos encontramos al servicio de nuestros semejantes, nos encontramos al servicio de Dios”.
