Entre los objetivos del encuentro destacan: el fortalecimiento de la democracia, cooperación para la reducción de brechas sociales, lucha contra la delincuencia organizada transnacional, la dinamización de la relación económica comercial y los esfuerzos conjuntos para combatir el calentamiento global, entre otros.
La reunión se realizará en la sede de Palacio de Gobierno, y contará con la participación del ministro de Relaciones Exteriores, César Landa Arroyo.
Esta audiencia con el secretario de Estado Antony Blinken, tiene carácter prioritario para el Perú, debido a la relevancia de los temas de agenda bilateral que se rigen bajo principios, valores y cooperación fundamental de distintos ámbitos para ambas naciones.
