La doctora Bianca Arias, médico geriatra de EsSalud, precisó que el plan de atención integral está a cargo de un equipo interdisciplinario conformado por médicos, enfermeras, nutricionistas, psicólogos, asistentes sociales, terapistas físicos y de rehabilitación, entre otros especialistas.

Detalló que los asegurados reciben sesiones educativas grupales e interactivas, para que, con el uso de la tecnología, puedan informarse más de su enfermedad y tener un mejor autocuidado.

Mencionó que otro de los beneficios está el screening renal que todo paciente con diabetes e hipertensión debe conocer para detectar a tiempo algún problema en los riñones en estadios tempranos, mientras que el seguimiento y gestión clínica se realiza a través de un software, por parte del especialista.

La geriatra informó que, al culminar cada atención, los asegurados reciben sus citas médicas, medicamentos para el mes de tratamiento y los exámenes auxiliares según la evaluación médica, evitando así los lapsos de espera en la atención de estos servicios.

Alertó que la hipertensión arterial y la diabetes mellitus son la primera causa de los eventos cardiovasculares que generan alta mortalidad, discapacidad, dependencia, alteración de la calidad de la vida y altos costos en salud.

“Los adultos y adultos mayores asegurados de la red Almenara que tienen estos diagnósticos pueden acercarse a su centro de salud más cercano y beneficiarse con el plan de atención integral y así evitar complicaciones”, señaló.

“Adults and older adults insured in the Almenara network who have these diagnoses can go to their nearest health center and benefit from the comprehensive care plan and thus avoid complications,” he said.
