Mañana, la agenda del presidente Castillo se iniciará a las 08:05 horas (hora del Perú) con la ceremonia de colocación de una ofrenda floral ante el monumento del libertador Bernardo O´Higgins.

Luego, se realizará la ceremonia de bienvenida y saludo del presidente de Chile, Gabriel Boric, a su homólogo peruano en el Palacio de La Moneda, y la reunión entre ambos dignatarios, acompañados de sus respectivos ministros de Relaciones Exteriores y embajadores.

Seguidamente, los presidentes Castillo y Boric participarán en la reunión con el Consejo Empresarial Perú- Chile. A la cita asistirán los presidentes del Capítulo Perú y Capítulo Chile, del referido gremio empresarial.

La inauguración del Encuentro Presidencial y IV Gabinete Binacional Perú-Chile está previsto para las 09:40 horas, con las palabras de bienvenida de los jefes de Estado. Durante la sesión plenaria, se abordarán temas de la agenda bilateral, agrupados en cinco ejes temáticos: Asuntos Sociales y Cultura para la Integración; Seguridad y Defensa; Comercio Exterior, Inversiones, Turismo y Cooperación en Ciencia y Tecnología; Medio Ambiente, Desarrollo Sostenible, Asuntos Energéticos y Mineros, así como Desarrollo e integración Fronteriza y Asuntos de Infraestructura.

Posteriormente, se realizará la ceremonia de suscripción de la Declaración Conjunta y de los Acuerdos del Encuentro Presidencial y IV Gabinete Binacional, seguido de la ceremonia de presentación de matasellos en conmemoración a los 200 años de relaciones diplomáticas entre Perú y Chile y la fotografía oficial del encuentro.

El Gabinete Binacional con Chile es la instancia político–diplomática de más alto nivel de la relación bilateral. Permite impulsar la cooperación en diferentes ámbitos, en beneficio de las poblaciones de ambas naciones, en especial de las zonas de frontera.

A la fecha, se han realizado tres gabinetes binacionales, el primero fue en Lima (2017), luego en Santiago (2018) y el último en Paracas (2019). Con el IV Gabinete Binacional en Santiago, se retoma esta reunión, suspendida por la pandemia del Covid-19.

During the plenary session, issues on the bilateral agenda will be addressed, grouped into five thematic axes: Social Affairs and Culture for Integration; Security and Defense; Foreign Trade, Investments, Tourism and Cooperation in Science and Technology; Environment, Sustainable Development, Energy and Mining Affairs, as well as Border Development and Integration and Infrastructure Affairs.

Subsequently, the signing ceremony of the Joint Declaration and the Agreements of the Presidential Meeting and IV Binational Cabinet will be held, followed by the ceremony of presentation of the postmark in commemoration of 200 years of diplomatic relations between Peru and Chile and the official photograph of the meeting.

The Binational Cabinet with Chile is the highest level political-diplomatic instance of the bilateral relationship. It allows promoting cooperation in different areas, for the benefit of the populations of both nations, especially in border areas.

To date, three binational cabinets have been held, the first was in Lima (2017), then in Santiago (2018) and the last in Paracas (2019). With the IV Binational Cabinet in Santiago, this meeting is resumed, suspended due to the Covid-19 pandemic.
