En declaraciones a la prensa, desde Palacio de Gobierno, la mandataria recordó que en el Consejo de Estado realizado anoche participaron los titulares del Jurado Nacional de Elecciones y el Congreso, instituciones de las que depende verificar todos los tiempos del adelanto de elecciones que ha planteado el Ejecutivo mediante un proyecto de ley.

“Legalmente, los tiempos calzarían para abril de 2024; sin embargo, haciendo reajustes, esto se puede adelantar a diciembre de 2023, antes de esa fecha, técnicamente y legalmente, no calzaría”, dijo la jefa de Estado, quien remarcó que a los peruanos de bien corresponde caminar dentro del margen legal y la Constitución.

“Salirse de esos marcos ya se convierte en ilegal. Como presidenta tengo que ser responsable y decir que estos tiempos no dependen de mí sino del Congreso y el ente electoral”, manifestó.

En otro momento, la dignataria expresó sus sentidas condolencias a los familiares de las personas fallecidas durante las protestas en Apurímac y Arequipa.

“Desde acá, llamo a las hermanas y hermanos, al Perú en general, a mantener la calma. Este gobierno de Dina Boluarte desde el inicio ha dicho que será un gobierno dialogante y no podemos dialogar si de por medio hay violencia”, expresó.

De igual forma, recordó que los ministros de Estado se van a desplazar a los lugares de tensión en Andahuaylas, Arequipa, Ica y Huancavelica, a fin de conversar de manera fraterna y tranquila.” “Cuando gritamos no nos podemos escuchar ni entender los petitorios”, afirmó la mandataria.
