Tras liderar el envío de ayuda humanitaria y sobrevolar las zonas afectadas, la mandataria remarcó que el apoyo comprende alimentos, medicinas, agua, carpas, frazadas, camas, y demás insumos necesarios para enfrentar esta difícil situación.

“Le decimos a Arequipa, y también a Yauyos en la sierra de Lima, donde ha habido otro huaico, que estamos atendiendo inmediatamente. Donde se presenten las necesidades por desastres naturales el Gobierno central estará presente, no están solos, estamos junto a ustedes”, puntualizó.

La jefa de Estado indicó, además, que trabajarán de la mano con el gobierno regional y autoridades locales, a fin de recuperar los lugares afectados y brindar calidad de vida a su población.

El Gobierno trasladó dos Grupos de Intervención Rápida para Emergencias y Desastres, del Instituto Nacional de Defensa Civil (Indeci), y 61 toneladas de ayuda humanitaria, tras los daños registrados en los sectores San Martín, Miski, Pampa Blanca y Secocha, en el distrito arequipeño de Mariano Nicolás Valcárcel.

SOBRE LAS ELECCIONES Y OTROS TEMAS POLÍTICOS
En otro momento, la dignataria reiteró su llamado al Congreso, a fin de que reflexione sobre el adelanto de elecciones, luego de que dicho poder del Estado desestimó el proyecto del Ejecutivo que planteaba que los peruanos acudan a las urnas en octubre de 2023.

Asimismo, ratificó que su renuncia no resuelve la crisis y que su tarea es atender a toda la nación, al tiempo de insistir en su llamado a dialogar a los sectores que protestan en torno a una agenda Perú que priorice los intereses del país y no los intereses políticos.

En su visita a Arequipa, la presidenta Boluarte estuvo acompañada por los ministros de Defensa, Jorge Chávez; de Transportes; Paola Lazarte; el gobernador regional de Arequipa, Rohel Sánchez; el jefe del Indeci, Carlos Yáñez, y el presidente ejecutivo de EsSalud, Arturo Orellana.
