De esa manera, se refirió a la propuesta de ley que buscaría que los medios de comunicación difundan música, arte y producción nacional mínima diaria en el 40 % de su programación.

“Poner cortapisas o limitaciones nunca es bueno. Cada ciudadano tiene la libertad de escoger o consumir lo que crea conveniente”, opinó en declaraciones a los periodistas.

En otro momento, Williams Zapata desmintió la información difundida hoy en un diario de circulación nacional respecto al promedio de trabajadores por parlamentario.

Precisó que los congresistas solo tienen siete trabajadores, entre profesionales, técnicos y auxiliares.

Agregó que el resto de trabajadores pertenecen a la organización parlamentaria y al servicio parlamentario, que es el personal que tiene varios años y coadyuvan al funcionamiento de la institución.

Respecto a la propuesta para la creación de la Autoridad Nacional de Infraestructura, dijo que ha recogido información de que este no será un ente burocrático, que se hará sobre la base de la entidad de la Autoridad para la Reconstrucción Con Cambios, y que no tendrá un ámbito regional sino para todo el país.

“Es bueno para el Estado tener una visión a largo plazo”, apuntó.

Agregó que un funcionario del Estado, sea del gobierno nacional o subnacional, tiene que ser eficiente, lo cual contribuirá para un mejor país.

“Técnicos eficientes y políticos honestos hacen que un Estado funcione”, dijo Williams al tiempo de resaltar la importancia de mejorar los mecanismos de control y que el Congreso debe seguir en esa tarea.

El presidente del Congreso también fue consultado sobre la decisión del Parlamento chileno de aprobar la reducción de la jornada de trabajo a 40 horas semanales.

Dijo que esa medida hará que se estudie esa posibilidad en otros países.

“Un trabajo en el tiempo adecuado y que sea eficiente, siempre es bueno”, opinó.

Regarding the proposal for the creation of the National Infrastructure Authority, he said that he has collected information that this will not be a bureaucratic entity, that it will be based on the entity of the Authority for Reconstruction With Changes, and that it will not have regional level but for the whole country.

“It is good for the State to have a long-term vision,” he said.

He added that a State official, whether from the national or subnational government, has to be efficient, which will contribute to a better country.

“Efficient technicians and honest politicians make a State work,” said Williams, while stressing the importance of improving control mechanisms and that Congress must continue in this task.

The president of the Congress was also consulted about the decision of the Chilean Parliament to approve the reduction of the working day to 40 weekly hours.

He said that this measure will make that possibility be studied in other countries.

“A job at the right time and that is efficient is always good,” he said.
