La meta para este año de la jornada denominada “Ponte al día, cada vacuna cuenta” es proteger a más de 330 000 niñas, niños y personas de diferentes edades de todo el país contra 28 enfermedades inmunoprevenibles.
“Hoy es un día importante, tenemos que poner el hombro para proteger a nuestras niñas y niños contra el sarampión, rubéola, polio y otras enfermedades. Trabajemos juntos por un solo objetivo: proteger a los más vulnerables del hogar. Por eso, te invito a acudir a los puntos de vacunación más cercanos a tu domicilio”, indicó la ministra
La titular del sector también señaló que el Minsa viene trabajando para brindar servicios de salud equitativos y oportunos con acceso a medicamentos, insumos y dispositivos médicos. En ese sentido, resaltó que en Yurimaguas se operará a 25 niños con fisura labial que esperaban por esta intervención.
“Hoy también iniciamos una jornada quirúrgica provincial en Yurimaguas, tenemos 30 médicos especialistas que atenderán a los más de 100 000 habitantes de los cinco distritos de esta zona”, añadió Rosa Gutiérrez, quien estuvo acompañada por el gobernador regional de Loreto, René Chávez.
Durante la jornada se brindó todas las vacunas del Esquema Regular, contra la difteria, tos ferina, tétanos, hepatitis B, influenza, poliomielitis, sarampión, rubéola, parotiditis, varicela, tuberculosis, meningitis, fiebre amarilla, neumonías, diarreas por rotavirus, cáncer de cuello uterino por Virus del Papiloma Humano (VPH); además de las dosis contra la covid-19.
LANZAMIENTO EN LIMA
En simultáneo, desde el Campo de Marte, en Jesús María, se realizó el lanzamiento de la Semana de Vacunación en las Américas con un festivo pasacalle que contó con la participación del personal de salud y público en general motivados por esta importante jornada de protección. Estuvo presente la viceministra de Salud Pública, Karim Pardo, junto al titular del Ministerio de Desarrollo e Inclusión Social, Julio Demartini.
“De la meta nacional, cerca de 200 000 son menores de 5 años. Tenemos 18 vacunas para enfrentar 28 enfermedades. El Esquema de Vacunación del Perú es uno de los más completos de Latinoamérica, según lo anunció Unicef hace dos días”, sostuvo la viceministra.

The head of the sector also pointed out that Minsa has been working to provide equitable and timely health services with access to medicines, supplies and medical devices. In this sense, he stressed that in Yurimaguas 25 children with cleft lip who were waiting for this intervention will be operated on.
“Today we also started a provincial surgical day in Yurimaguas, we have 30 specialist doctors who will care for the more than 100,000 inhabitants of the five districts of this area,” added Rosa Gutiérrez, who was accompanied by the regional governor of Loreto, René Chávez.
During the day, all the vaccines of the Regular Scheme were provided, against diphtheria, whooping cough, tetanus, hepatitis B, influenza, poliomyelitis, measles, rubella, mumps, chickenpox, tuberculosis, meningitis, yellow fever, pneumonia, rotavirus diarrhea, cancer of cervix by Human Papilloma Virus (HPV); in addition to the doses against covid-19.

Simultaneously, from the Campo de Marte, in Jesús María, Vaccination Week in the Americas was launched with a festive parade that included the participation of health personnel and the general public motivated by this important day of protection. The Vice Minister of Public Health, Karim Pardo, was present, along with the head of the Ministry of Development and Social Inclusion, Julio Demartini.
“Of the national goal, close to 200,000 are under 5 years of age. We have 18 vaccines to face 28 diseases. Peru’s Vaccination Scheme is one of the most complete in Latin America, as Unicef announced two days ago,” said the vice minister.
